Taps will struggle to get back in the starting team after that. The rest might freshen him up too. Good win before SA. Gill makes a fair difference to the team, despite Beau trying his best.
Bring on the cheetahs!

This will be a tough gig. The Cheetahs are the surprise package this year, playing really good (almost non traditional Saffa) footy.

Agree, but that is the sort of game that suits the Reds. Still a tough ask - you'd think the reds have to go in unbeaten from here to have a home final chance.

Gill picked up a cork but looks like he'll be fine for next week.

Good to see him taken off, give him a bit of a chance to rest..
Likewise it was a good win whilst also giving Horwill a rest... Taps, Slipper and Horwill have all had a break In the last 2 weeks, it will pay off later in the season.

CFS is starting to look a bit more at home at this level. Let's hope it is not too long before he feels at home at the next level up.

He looks more at home in the centres then he does on the wing, physicality wise he looks up to speed its just the understanding of the game-plan and speed of super rugby which he needs improving on, lets just hope they have mediated his hamstring issues..

I thought having CFS at 13 complemented A.Fainga'a at 12 as well, CFS offers the speed and size to get over the advantage line and set-up the outside man as shown in the 100m try last night, i think thats something which has been lacking with Taps and A.Fainga'a in recent weeks.

Can't agree more. We've looked so much better with a 13 playing there.

Rod Davies has played really well over the last couple of games. Despite the concerns around his lack of an all round game he reads the game well & works hard off the ball.
