What’s wrong with a bit of optimism :)

Because every year we get hopeful and we never win it
I'm with TSR on this one. Although I do think it is more than discipline but it is a big problem. We have seen this 1st half issue a few times this year and it would be a huge issue for Joe. TSR mentioned the aerial battle where we were much better earlier this season. Add to that the D which I have pointed out before. We cannot continue with Lord Laurie defensive patterns, also notice how much the D changes in the 2nd half. They are not giving the opposition as much space in 2nd h compared to 1st. The speed to the breakdown is a problem but is improving.
All in all I am hopeful of a very competitive effort in NZ and one win may win us the cup.

PS I thought Edmed went far better as the game went on, not another Larkham but serviceable..

Edmed was coming from just about the lowest base possibly
Easiest try ever conceded, then miss comms with white which they then got a penalty soon after then the pass to pollard in a worst position costing another 3
The question is how didn’t JOC (James O'Connor) start or at least bought on earlier? Evan start of 2nd half

I don't disagree with any of that, BUT my take on Edmed is that he doesn't strike me asbeing totally confident in himself, and he is most probably one of those guys who get slowly better with more exposure. The end of next season under Larkham will answer the question of whether he has a position in the Wallabies. I'm hoping he does, as we have holes in our pants at 10.

I don't think Edmed had a bad game. I could see why Joe stuck with him. The problem was the less than 50:50 passess that Hunter was throwing. Even when he did well he would screw it up. The problem became widespread. Suspect Joe told them for gots sake can we just take the tackle and be patient at half time.

We really missed Ikitao. Badly.

We went to the air far too much and it did not work. We did not adjust.

Tupo has to learn to stay on his feet in contact.

I thought the ref was clear and fine, my only comment on him is that the argy was loitering offside all game and multiple times the ball would come loose and it was called 'general Play'.

At the end of the day, The result was the right one, some would say that the bonus point we got from it was a bonus.

I like JOC (James O'Connor) where he is with Tate. I am happy to start with Tane, Dono or Lynagh. Len and Joseph are my centres. Jorgo On wing, the other is more open.

Beef.

I think that’s why he went well in the ITM Cup last year, consistent game time to develop conference and improve. This year he was dropped to bench for much of the year. He needs consistent game time to improve and Brumbies are almost certainly the better place for him to develop in 2026

Because I don't think Tommy Turbo is the future at 10 like Queenslanders? I'm not Robinson Crusoe. Are you the Guru of rugby knowledge?
Yoda, I’m a Queenslander and I don’t think Lynagh(or Edmed) are best to lead Australia to a 2027 RWC. Post 2027 anything could happen.

You keep carrying on about this reds fan parochialism for Lynagh, but you selectively apply your own criticism of players based on the state they come from. I wouldn’t care if you said what you said if you applied it even you to all players but you don’t, you’re just throwing stones in glass houses.

I don’t think Paisami’s passes were the biggest issue (or his badly executed kick).

Biggest two issues were discpline and losing the battle in the air. Paisami didn’t have mush to do with either of those issues.

He didn’t help things with his errors but we were below par pretty much across the board.

Just on Tom Lynagh, does anyone know why Tom doesn't wear headgear? Never worn it myself and I imagine it would take some getting used to but even some head protection has to be better than none.
