Rugby Championship 2025: Wallabies v Argentina

Rugby Head

Tom Lawton (22)
Was hoping to see Ross, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and Samu.
Robertson is not up to it and love Tizzano but his lack versatility doesn't help. Samu is much better suited to the bench role as he can cover 6,7 and 8.

I think some of them might be better suited to AB games.

Robertson and nongurr favoured over AAA and slipper?
would have liked LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) on the bench and maybe samu instead of tizzano
See how they go
And who knows wtf Argentina will bring they are so hot and cold

Managing workloads of those 2?
Slipper in particular isn't going to play every match of the TRC, and asking him to will only impact his performance.

The fact in the last 12 months the Argies have wins over SA, NZ, Aus the Lions and could have finished off Ireland in Ireland tells you they are a very good side when they're on.

Wallabies have to be willing to arm wrestle for 80. Positive to note the Wallabies have been finishing games well which is a nice change to recent history.

Do people raving about how impressive Arg are because they made the WC Semi realise that there were no Top 5 teams on that side of the draw so they only had to beat Chile, Japan, Samoa and Wales - who were still very poor back then

The only two genuine Tier 1 side they faced they lost both times - and the first time against England was a heavy defeat - a side that lost to Fiji pre world cup
Also, over recent times they have regressed from 4 or 5 in the rankings to 7 while the Wallabies have progressed from 10 to 6. Does make you wonder a bit about the hype going their way.

Aussie Joe seems to be pretty conservative with his selections and not making wholesale changes. I am predicting this;

1. Slipper
2. Pollard
3.Tupou
4. Frost
5. Williams
6. Valetini
7. McReight
8. Wilson (c)
9. White
10. O'Connor
11. Toole
12. Ikitau
13. JAS
14. Jorgensen
15. Kellaway

16. BPA
17. Bell
18. AAA
19. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto)
20. Hooper
21. McDermott
22. Lynagh
23. Potter
Williams, disappointing selection. only a bench player at best imo

If we let them run, they will put us under huge pressure. They are quick across the board inc one prop who made most or 2nd most T/O's v ABs
