the away jersey looks like the French Revolutionary Guard's soccer team.
It's a tribute/copy of the many South American soccer shirts with a sash. The great Argentinean club, River Plate, have a red sash and a goodish handful of the national teams are also sashed.

I actually don't know why they frig around with jersey designs so much. If it aint broke, don't fix it. For me, the '91 jersey probably with the current Wallabies logo, green collar, plain green shorts and the hooped socks. I know Ella has the Adidas stripes, but do away with them, just go plain.

It’s literally to drive merchandise sales, if there’s no incremental change then theres no incentive to buy the new one

Whilst I don't mind the design of the Boks away jersey there, presumably they are most likely to wear it when they are playing Ireland, and that one probably clashes even more with theirs. That said I don't know which team is given home status for that match.

Whoever wins the coin toss, is how it's decided at a RWC I believe.

Imagine 14 fern leaves with proper crinkly edges in dark grey arranged per the Italian design on an otherwise jet-black jersey...

If you absolutely have to fuck with the classic AB kit, that's what it should look like, not the cartoon we've ended up with.

With the Italian one, I'm seeing a wreath like Michael Palin in life of Brian.

My thought was similar i.e. a nod to a victory wreath from Roman times & my second thought was they're no chance to have one on their heads so why not on their uniform?

Easy option.

Won't clash with anyone (bar England, Fiji) at the RWC if you are the designated Away team and your primary jersey might be similar.

Wasn't their talk that was given the ass?

I don't really mind the white jerseys but It's a lot better when they do something with it. I think the Wallabies do a good job getting the indigenous design onto it instead of the default Asics template.
