Belly, no doubt some tight forwards do not mature until their late twenties, as you say, but we can always hope for another Eales, or our own Retallick or Etzebeth.

without hope you have nothing. Isn't that how the quote goes.

The issue is the professional ranks continue to select players in those positions from the mean streets of Mosman, where is other nations pick them on ability. Until that changes, all we'll really have is hope. I'd kill for a couple of Retallick type locks being available for Tahs/Wallabies

He's working very hard with the Tahs in the gym. He's dropped a lot of body fat thanks to sticking to a strict diet and is smashing out the gym work, He's coming on very nicely. Let's remember, he's still a kid. He's still only 22. Locks don't mature (in my opinion) to late 20s. He has a great presence on the field, and is a smart player. I expect him to do very well.

His dimensions???? He's 198cm and 115kg or thereabouts

Yes and its a shame any work that penrith does is raped by other clubs. As far as Nio he lacks a killer instinct which is common with islander players. I dont see him as a long term tahs player

As you are presumably an Eastwood supporter, you must be aware of your own clubs extensive "raping" of players from other clubs,in particular the very large number of players from the West Harbour club comes to mind, including, most recently, one of their best in Cohen Masson.

I suggest the movement of players between clubs has been flogged to death on this forum over the last few years. The player points system was supposed to solve the "problem" but clearly hasn't worked due to a lack of will on the part of the SRU and the clubs themselves IMO. As my 4 year old granddaughter is fond of saying: "We'll just have to live with it!"
Let's move on.

Takes two to tango. Maybe players move for good reasons. It would be great to see every club on an equal footing in terms of membership, revenues, facilities, etc. But they are not equal, so it is not surprising that players act out of their own self-interest.

Rape? Maybe. But maybe it is consensual.

I take offense to eastwood being mentioned in this. We take pride in producing our own juniors thanks. Also last year at Easts i identified 8 ex penrith players yet they still fail to even raise a whimper. Fact is the nswru and aru have been nothing short of a joke in the way they have treated penrith. Parramatta have only survived because of the messiah belly.

Greg which club will you be removed from next?

Parramatta, Penrith, Gordon, Eastwood ? Just find it interesting when saying 'our own'.

I think you may be spending too much time at the willoughby hotel mate. I think you have me confused with someone else mate. I have never been as you say removed from any club? Im simply a fan of the game and a 15 year member of eastwood rugby. Admin surely making false claims against someone is out of order?
