That's an interesting move. Going to be some long Saturdays for them (about 3 1/2hrs each way to Canberra from Penrith)

Good bus trip with music pumping and the beer on ice
Going to be a looooong trip home if you've been pumped across all grades

Being realistic here, I've been an Emu's supporter since I started following Rugby years ago, and they're pretty much my home team from SS. I can see why they got dropped a few years ago, was quite happy to see them back in, and it was a bit of a shock (although maybe not surprising) to see them dropped again for 2022.

From what is out in the open, they were dropped because they couldn't guarantee a minimum players for the grades required - is the requirement for John I Dent any less? I wonder what's changed? Or is it that some shute clubs just didn't like Penrith?

Speaking of Penrith, any news about how the clubs are going meeting the new competition agreement? Will all clubs (other than Hunter) be fielding 4 grade + 3 colts?

The commitment that's been made 2 Mens grades, 1 Womens and a Colts. Hopefully they can fulfil that. Although I don't know if a Women's team is a requirement of JID. Looks like there's unanimous support for Penrith to join, so there may be numbers and/or dollars matching that.

But is that just Canberrans biting their thumb at Sydney/NSW? :)
