The officiating of head contact has really been toned down this season - Tucker's head clash would've been a yellow for sure last year, regardless of the passive nature.

I imagine come the RWC, anything like tucker or Vest or JOC (James O'Connor) or even Renton dislocating Wrights shoulder will be carded. It’s the game advertising to the world with a greater focus of CTE and post career welfare.

Thank god, the RWC was really in danger of being totally ruined by over zealous red cards.

Head clashes with no moving forward force (where the tackler is passive) should be penalty only.

Ehh in certain cases probably, but Tucker made absolutely zero effort to get in a suitable position to make a tackle in this instance.

That's why it's a penalty - he came off worse due to his passiveness, little danger. No HIA or effect on Ainsley.
