has a decision been made that the points system will be altered, remain the same as 2016? If so, does anyone know when it will be confirmed 100%?

The Honey Badger

Jim Lenehan (48)
Dylan Pietsch (Gordon jnr), Aust Barb / NSW I = 6 pts
Is he a lock? Didn't he play for Aust 7's
And plays flanker and centre???
I believe he mostly played no 8 at school. Played some lock and I am sure would be more than handy at 6 or 7. Utility forward, not sure if he has played in the backs (maybe 7's)

He played 8, 5, 6 and 7 at school. From my fading memory I seem to recall he did make a couple of cameo appearances out in the back line with the hairdressers and baton twirlers but got bored waiting for the ball.

He's an Apex predator not a nail technician.

Azzuri, what are the Gordon boys doing this weekend?

so it looks like the player points system will NOT change for 2017. This will make it interesting for some cubs

Email came through yesterday from NSWRU

That's mostly good news, I guess, because some of the proposals being put forward were appalling and aimed at favouring one or two clubs above all else. Unfortunately, though, I can't help feeling that the NSWRU have let a fantastic opportunity to introduce some much-needed reform to the points system slip through their fingers. Surely its time for the 'governing body' to actually govern, by implementing (and enforcing) strategies that will prevent the continued pooling of talent in 2 or 3 clubs.

What they need to do, so they cant be swayed by arguments about how the clubs have already recruited etc is come out now or soon and say next year this is what will happen - and what should happen is to create a massive disincentive for clubs to recruit non-local rockstars: thus make one non-local rockstar so points heavy that you cannot viably recruit another

You are indeed an optimist Old Colt.:)

So, its 40 player points allowed for 1sts Colts, including the 8 reserves, and 35 points for 2nds.

Which means there'll be plenty of Colts playing Grade.

Are there restrictions regarding player points for Grade ?
