Pretty awesome display by the Uni boys. . Very clinical. Set piece was amazing both lineout and scrum. Lost count of how many tight heads. Uni too dominant all over the park. So much pace and skill in the backs.

Souths too good for Norths yesterday. Souths scored 3 good tries in the first half to Norths 1. Souths had 3 sin bins due to illegal tackles (1 high, 2 no arms resulting in a red) while Norths had the same player sin binned twice so red carded. Souths were down to 14 with 25 to go. Norths hit back with2 quick tries and had some wind in their sails but Souths regained composure and scored again with 15 to go. Souths finished the last 10 with 13 players not conceding a point.
Final score 41-17 to Souths

Kind of reflective of the den blue season, and possibly the coaches/selectors

Gen blue process needs a complete overhaul, as do the coaches & selectors. Its a flawed system when players are willing to play 2nds & 3rds for Uni or Randwick rather than 1sts in other clubs, knowing full well they wont be considered for rep teams if they don't. It appears there is a lack of leadership & vision at all levels of the game.

Manly had a comfortable win against Parramatta today at Granville, after twenty minutes weathering an enthusiastic two blues attack Manly conceded only three points from a penalty. Manly earned a clear lead with trys in the window five each side of 1/2 time. Manly also benefited from being able to run the 10-15kg/player larger locals around as well as set piece dominance managed to deny the two blues any bonus points. The parramatta lads continued trying true to their team song, but had nothing left in the last 10-15

On the uni v randwick..... well that was interesting wasn't it! The score was the surprise not so much the other aspects of the game reported

The gen blue coaches refused to see what was in front of them, I don't know if this was a fixation with their own players (you could hear one of them chanting a mantra every scrum) or a desire to placate the bloke that had been moved up out of the way into the poni talent scout position

Woods beat easts 34-26 at Milner. Yellow card To each team due to soft call under new rule.
Exciting game right to the end with lead changing regularly.
Easts started the game strong however the woods fought harder at the back end of the game. Good team effort

A surprising result that tipsters wouldn't have predicted given the quality players in each team.

I was going to say the 2nd round clash will be interesting, but the 2 teams dont play each other again until the Finals if that's the way it works out.

Early predictions are Sydney Uni first and daylight second but its a very long season ahead.

Randwick won the 2nd grade clash, not sure about the 3rds.

Well when you've got all the best players it should be a clinical victory. Does anyone know who checks the players points? By my calculations Uni were WAY over the allowed 40 points.

Surely Sydney Rugby has an auditor that checks the points before and after each round.

Can you show us your Calcs?

Don't forget the points halve in year 2.
