Im tipping Easts by 8 .The brave Shoreman nearly did it last year only losing in the final minute and believe the beastie boys can go one better.
They are running into red hot form at the right time with a high majority of the squad at the top age and look to be a real solid team.We have yet to see the students under real pressure this year and will be interesting to see how they cope , they have a lot of individuals in there.
Some key matchups -
Cody Walker vs HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) (Both tough strong country boys)
Travers vs O'brien (Both are in top form)
Porter/Armstrong vs England/Paterson (This will be worth the price of admission alone - don't be surprised if Paterson is Man of the Match he is in cracking form and highly under-rated)

2nds Easts by 2 (can go either way - may come down to what reserves can be used under the points cap)

3rds Randwick by plenty - they have a pretty hot side on paper

Good luck and congratulations to all teams

Slaughtered, but well done to Easts to get to the GF. It looked like it was a matter of which team would be beaten by Uni in 1sts.
Uni won the 2nds against Easts.
Randwick the 3rds against Uni.

Easts did really well as a Club to make the 1sts and 2nds GFs with their playing roster and with no home ground advantage this season.
Along with Easts, Uni, even though they had a strong playing roster, got their coaching, commitment and culture right.

But it was a disappointing season for Randwick with all things considered.

3rd Grade Colt Premiers, 2nd Grade Colts Minor Premiers, 1st Grade Colts finishing 2nd in the ladder. Disappointing season? lol. On the contrary, we've had an amazing season thanks, loved every minute and can't wait for next year.

Sorry to disagree but the poor showing in the first half of the Semis and missing out on the 1sts & 2nds GFs could be considered disappointing given the playing roster the Wicks had.

All good, i was just making the point that there are a lot of factors and outcomes that indicate whether or not a club has had a successful season. Your comment was negative. The Colts have a great season, sure disappointing that we didn't win 3 premierships if that's what you're getting at. Seriously.....

I thought my comments were realistic given the playing roster at the Wicks disposal.

I didnt say it was disappointing not to have won 3 Premierships, I stated it was disappointing not to have made the GFs after poor games from the 1sts & 2nds in the Semis; particularly in the 1st half of each match.

Anything can happen in a Finals match and it can be seen as only one game in the entire season, but how a team performs at the pointy end of the season is what defines you as a team/Club.

I'm sure the Randwick coaching staff will be positive about analysing what happened this season and be positive about improving things for next season.
