Wallabies v Japan 25 Oct

Pfitzy

Phil Waugh (73)
On a wet day, keeping it close and in front of the pigs is not an unusual game plan

Especially with that backline, it shouldn't have gone wide until there was a three man overlap

And we had overlaps but a good rush from their outside centre killed it.

I don't think many here have coached or played in actual wet weather conditions ;)

It didn't matter what Tizzano did.

The problem was Nonggorr not being bound to the maul and engaging with the Japanese defenders in front of the ball.
Just blatant obstruction. Valetini probably worth pinging for the same thing on this play too.

Really sloppy maul work from Australia (but probably to be expected given the amount of training they'd done together, and with no locks)

They had a penalty advantage 3 separate times, that's essentially a free shot to go wide. Edmed should have been calling for it the second the ref put his arm out
