Although, there are a number of articles circulating.

"And I would just say at this point, it’s inconclusive, although the weight of evidence seems to indicate natural. But we don’t know for certain."

Yep, the theory is that it is natural but it was being studied in a lab in Wuhan and leaked from there.

Perhaps I haven't been clear.
Yes, the shutdown has worked. We also have natural advantages which have been helpful too.
The shutdown now needs to be re-appraised in the light of the good news of low deaths and minimal contracted cases.
The number of jobless, the closing of businesses, and the lurch towards recession or even depression all demand we start removing restrictions.
To sum up - 2 deaths yesterday. The curve has flattened. The news is very positive. Let's get Australia back to work.

There were still 34 new cases nationally yesterday.

16 of those new cases were in NSW. If we go back through the initial outbreak in NSW, there were 14 new cases on the 13th of March. A week later there were 83 new cases on the 20th of March. A week later 212 new cases.

Removing all the restrictions at this point would see us back at the exact same point we were three weeks ago with a rapidly escalating problem and the need to reintroduce restrictions.

It has as much "value" as say Slate and should be viewed with the same amount a scepticism and understanding of their bias

For sure, a critical eye should be applied to all media platforms. At the end of the day (ABC aside) they're competing for clicks for their advertisers.

But Tucker Carlson is a Grade A twat who peddled misinformation about this situation from the beginning. Fuck that guy.

This guy rocks:

"Captain Tom Moore is in the British headlines for the sweetest of reasons.

"The 99-year-old World War 2 veteran has raised more than £3 million (NZ$6.2m) for health professionals working through the coronavirus crisis."

Which is weird because wasn't he basically the only person on Fox who was saying 'guys this is serious'? (not supporting him think he ass-backwards with everything as well).

Sounds like the start of something much more grungy and low budget to me. Just need to shoehorn in a guy who is cleaning the pool.

No way, big budget, already looking forward to the climactic car chase scene, sirens wailing, Tom and Charlize weaving thru the wet market on a stolen scooter, followed by the unmarked black SUV's of the CCP, "Tom is that a pangolin in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?", a bat and a snake exchange quizzical glances from their neighbouring cages at this terrible line, the Benny Hill theme song bubbles along in the background.....

While it's possible that some intern or asymptomatic worker was examining the new coronavirus they found in an animal went to a market and kicked this all off. It doesn't rule out if there were other animals who would have transmitted it to other humans kicking this all off. Either way, it's an natural virus that originated from China.

It doesn't excuse China for trying to cover it up or downplay the severity. It doesn't excuse Trump from removing infectious disease funding/groups. It doesn't excuse Trump, past presidents and other world leaders from ignoring scientists and experts who were warning about this exact pandemic. It also doesn't excuse WHO from being gigantic pussys in this either.

A pandemic has been predicted to go crazy throughout the world for decades and the world should have been better prepared.

Still informative to know where it originated from and why, hopefully Chinese labs have since brushed up their safety protocols.

The only countries really were on top of this early year the ones in Asia that dealt with SARS previously. They had structures in place

eg. Last December in Singapore everyone was being temperature checked at the airport
