16K tix sold for 'canes v CruSadists which is somewhat surprising given the forecast is cold, wet & windy: 16K by Thursday normally results in 22-25K on matchday. No tix update for Tribe v Loss Bleus but forecast is for warm (~17C) & clear conditions.

As a mere Aussie rugby fan, far be it for me to comment on how NZ teams and the ABs etc run their show, but I will anyway. I have long believed that ALB is wasted at 12. I reckon he is an out and out No 13 and should be in that spot for the Cheifs and in competition with Rieko for the AB's spot. To me, Jack Goodhue is the standout No 12 for his overall game while Laumape is the attacking gun when needed.Tell me to pull my head in if you like, but Chiefs and ABs selectors ignore me at their peril!

BR why would anyone tell you to pull head in, your opinion is as valid as anyone's, I comment on Aus selections, because this is a rugby forum, and that's why we come in, to read EVERYONE's opinion.
You obviously been listening to my son who says the same with ALB, I tending to go that way, when I originally had him pegged as a 12, also Goodhue has looked bloody good at 12 this year, so I have to change my mind about him too , as I always had him pegged at 13!!

Dan, I reckon Goodhue is a far more creative player than ALB who is more a finisher. In my mind, that makes JG the No 12 and ALB the No 13.

Yep I go along with that BR, originally I saw Goodhue as a good thinking 13 (ala Conrad Smith) and he seemed to play like that at 13, but with a reasonable amount of time at 12, I agree he seems to be quite suited to being able to play with slightly less time. I really think I had got so used to seeing both players in opposite jerseys took me a while to get used to what how they play when reversed. And I have to say although I am and have been a real fan of ALB right since I farst saw him play a preseason game against Reds at Toowoomba, I have a sneky feeling that Reiko Ioane is going to be bloody hard to keep out of 13 jersey, because he looking so good there this year. I would go as far to say Foster and co might have some bloody lovely problems in midfield.

Blues Instagram hair update: it's going to get a whole lot better/worse, depending on your point of view. Akira also has the Patty T. pink top. Perhaps somewhat ironically, Ofa now has a reverse Norman. Clarke has a tentative hairband. Nock's hair continues it's evolutionary adventure into the unknown.

FFS that is not a bad Blues team again, even with Akira starting

Latest rain band has arrived early so it could be a little slippery at FMG tonight (but it's still warm so don't expect too many dew issues) but could also mean better than expected conditions at sky stadium tomorrow.

Ok WOB, I hope that weather clears at FMG this evening too. I ready for rugby today, have just found another problem with being Aussie when pandemic hits, had to get father-in-law's funeral streamed form Levin yesterday, so really looking forward to some rugby because Snow and I had spent a bit of time discussing it etc over the years!

^ condolences for your loss, Dan.

Edit: when they have the minutes silence for the cop who got murdered in Auckland yesterday I'll say a little karakia for your FIL.

Still drizzling here with occasional heavier showers & doesn't look like clearing but I drove past FMG ~20 minutes ago & there were people arriving already & Speight's Ale House courtyard looked fairly full so I'm picking they'll still get a decent turnout.

15 minutes played.
Chiefs with ~14 minutes of possession = 3 points.
Blues ~1 minute of possession = 7 points

lol.

Talk about going full Crusaders. Love it.
