With the complaints about Barnes taking more control over the second half it was interesting to see Cooper finished the game with a knee injury. Maybe Barnes stepping in and kicking was a bit about injuries

Doesn't quite explain the grubber from inside the 22 and the cross field chip kick when we were hot on attack about 35m out though.

The later of these was criminal.

Damn Deans for making him eat all those pies...

Beale seems low in confidence also, not just since the test season started as well. The bank balance is probably doing okay, but he had a poor season at the Rebels and regularly losing isn't great either. Disrupted by injury yes, but something isn't right.

You clearly didnt watch all the Rebels matches...

Yeah, Fit Beale was the rebels best player. But never at fullback.

Yeah he looked better at 10 or coming into the playmaker role from 15 but he was sharp during the mid section (Crusaders win period). He clearly is under done now though, looks amiss in the head... staggering he still cant take a highball to save his life, never could.

There the unpredictable things that make him so great, sometimes they don't come off but at least he try's........sorry, ashumed we were talking about cooper.

I still think we will do OK against the other two sides in the Rugby Championship

This AB side is bloody good and we were pressured into some dumb decisions as we tried to find some way to find momentum chasing the game.

Seems to me that your being overly defensive of you tags players and passing the buck on to others.bwhen it's accepted forum wide that the team as a whole was not up to scratch.

But kicks where bad options cause no one knew they were on. If they had been contested I would have accepted them.

I think there is force in your view - however, the hidings we have received, in which we have not really been in the contest for 77 out of the 80 minutes of the game could have an impact on confidence. Although, some of these blokes seem so up themselves that may seem an odd view: I'm not sure whatever they are confident about is the right sort of confidence.

Ah so this performance changes the past does it? Excellent re-write of history. SBW played well, still isnt Gods gift until he does that on a regular basis.
the only thing it changes is that he was good in the game and a major threat throughout.
don't recall ever analysing his career, just correcting your misstatement that he was poor.

I think we often fail to appreciate how good some sides are, this AB side is bloody good and I don't expect us to get near them in a meaningful game for a while.

The biggest challenge for Hanson is what to do about the senior players coming up to the next RWC. Do they all stay or will they be turned over? But for the next year or so ... ... . .. fark

By the time of the next world cup Woodcock will be 34, Conrad Smith 35, Mealamu 36, McCaw 35, Nonu 34.

So we need to find a hooker, openside flanker, loosehead prop, second five, and center.

I expect they will start to introduce prospective replacements on the end of year tour.

We lack depth at hooker.

It remains to be seen if Sam Cane kicks on to play well against the best international sides.

I think you have your parties muddled up Artie, have never said he was poor... he played well Saturday, I dont think he has done much at this level to justify the hype, I'll stick by that and my previous comments that he throws a lot of shit during a game that other players would be smashed for. Auckland was his first step towards being a good Test player and his last for a while too.

Its most likely they will be move well before their time unless they are 'muthaf$#%ken Brad Thorn', probably respect the jersey too much to be seen playing well past used by date... and im sure the darker powers of darkness have a system for giving players the tap on the shoulder... too bad some players don't take a hint...i.e AWilliams

I reckon they could all play on and still be kicking our butt in another 3 or 4 years.

Dan Carter will be 34 as well
