I once visited Khancoban as part of a UNSW Foundation Day Roadtrip/Scavenger Hunt. Our task was to try and get as many people into a phone booth outside the pub as possible. We walked into the pub and sheepishly told some people what we were doing. The biggest, roughest, meanest looking guy in the pub overhead us and then bellowed: "Right. Everyone outside. We're getting in the phone box." Thanks to his demeanor, we managed to get about 15 people and a dog in the phone box. It was incredible.

Goonoo Goonoo - not said how you think it might be said.
Greenwell Point- Oysters, cows and absolutely not one person who has ever done anything famous in their lives. The locals are gladly waiting for Armageddon, so as they will have something to talk about. Hay, take yer choice: NSW or WA
Younghusband - Little more than a caravan park on the Murray in SA (with a postcode SA 5328).

Yallingup - favourite surf break for all the boys from all teams that surf. Has a wonderful rep with the Sharks boys that surf plus Matty Hodgson from the force. Also it is next door to Margaret River so the visit to Cape Mentelle/Vasse Felix make it just that little more worthwhile. Real sharks can be a small issue though

Eggs and Bacon Bay, TAS. It's nowhere near anywhere and would be fucking cold. In the 2011 census, there were 245 people living in Eggs And Bacon Bay. 50.8% are male and 49.2% are female. Eggs And Bacon Bay is 44 Km from Hobart.
Yandina, QLD, a town on the hinterland of Sunshine Coast, near my other post, Eudlo.
Ashford NSW. Previously produced tobacco and coal. Now left as merino country and has a few natural attractions such as the caves, Macintyre Falls, and the nearby Pindari Dam. Which isn't natural
Deniliquin, NSW. Home of the Deni Drovers and a ute muster.

Eugowra, NSW, in the no man's land in the Central West competition as has no rugby club so a local has to choose between Cowra, Parkes, Forbes and Orange rugby union teams to play for unless he's into league
Ayr, Queensland - close to Townsville. Don Walker of Cold Chisel fame, one of Australia's greatest ever songwriters comes from the town.
Red Rock NSW. Great pub there with the bar top made from one solid piece of redwood. Sort of halfway between Coffs and Grafton.
Kenilworth, Qld - a small town in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. It is a small dairy farming town. The conglomerate milk processor closed the local milk factory, so the locals bought it for bugger all, fired it up and started to produce outstanding cheese. If you ever see Kenilworth cheese on sale, BUY IT!
Heyfield- VIC Famous for the local derbies between them and Maffra with on one occasion more arrests than there were players in the team. but is was only aussie rules so it doesn't really count.
Hay NSW. Bloody flat out there - hot in summer, cold in winter. Home of the mighty Hay Cutters Rugby Club. Next time you want to bitch about your drive across town to play away, think about what they need to do play against Tumut, 368 km distant. (TMO Red Card – Used Previously)

SIMPLE RULES.
Next town in the chain starts with the last letter of the previous town.
No previous entries.
A bit of trivia about the town is needed.
Use of resource material is discouraged but not against rules.

New Count (including Falls Creek)

Kingscliff Up near the Qld boarder. The Oxley boys from The Sunnyboys hail from here.

Aussie D, time for your contribution of Fairfield. The previous lead in letter was "K" from Falls Creek.

It was too hard to add it to the end of the summary. Explorer or forum software kept crapping out when I tried to add it in.

EDIT: Falls Creek - Kingscliff - Fairfield - Donnybrook - Kurnell. The links in the chain continue if a little out of order.:)

Kurnell This suburb deep in The Shire has a water refinery and oil refinery. The latter is closing down soon. The former commissioned when the drought broke.

LOGANHOLME - QLD

Somehow in the deepest recesses of my tiny mind think that not one soul that reads GAGR would come from here. Socially elitist, yes. But I had the snot belted out of me there in 88. So that is why I don't like the joint

Yep, compliments to colossal clacker for his commitments keeping this corner of G&GR clean and correct.

Nook, Tasmania. Spose those who hail from here are called "nookies". If you can't find it look up a map of Tassie.

I think you'll find that there is one already mate. I had to check HJ's summary of posts because I knew I'd given the East Lynn General Store a wrap on here somewhere. Other notable bakeries in this neck of the woods are: Culcairn Bakery, O'Briens Hot Bake in Morgan St Wagga Wagga, Nimmitabel, Uranquinty "Quinty Bakehouse" and Bertoldo's at Griffith, NSW.
