Well you've all conspired to get Quirindi going and destroyed the integrity of the thread.

This environment is toxic and I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking it. I'm off to a boxing forum with my manager Noder Khasser and good mate Bunny Still Millions and will wait for my administrators to get me a bigger, better contact when they corner their administrators on a point of order.

Good day to you

Order has been called for.

Aren't we still looking for a town starting with 'A'???

If so, Aberdeen - located in the Hunter Valley just outside Muswellbrook. Not sure of the pie status of the bakery there. Carry on.

Aberdeen disqualified. Used a long time ago. Red Carded.

Aberdeen - town near Scone in the Hunter Valley of NSW.

Mr Doug and Gristlechewer's contributions of Nosa Q, Quirindi and Irish Town have been awarded a Yellow card. Against the rules, but when appropriate can be used at a later date.

A is still the "official" lead in.

Best way to check if a town has already been used is to use the "SEARCH" box at the top left and check the box "Search this thread only". Alternately check the occasional summary posts on page 23 and 13, which list all the towns used to date.

Austinmer, North of the Gong. Mates have a holiday home there, so there is no need to scavenge the local shops for meat filled pastries. Previously called Sidmouth and Bulli North. "Austi" lost the extra "e" at the end of its name in the late 1800's. Reasonable beach nearby.

10/10 Hugh Jarse for the search option. I wish I had known about that previously.

Rand. Located in the Riverina between Henty and Culcairn. For those pie lovers amongst us, head due west from the pie shop at Culcairn and you'll end up at Rand.

Doctors Gap Outer suburb of Lithgow - up the Hartley Valley Road. There are no Doctors in Doctors Gap. Nearest decent pie is in the CBD. Nearest vendor of Doctor Bacchus' medicine would be G&GR's Own Lindommer.

Pinnaroo South Australia

Population 587, first major stop on the Adelaide-Sydney bus route. They grow potatoes.

Ocean Shores just North of Byron. This town has a 1/2 decent golf course and a farmers market on Tuesday mornings where you can source organically farmed beef for your own pies.

Salamander Bay - North of Newcastle, near Port Stephens. Not a bad drive and I believe there is/was a school camp at Fingal Bay also.

Yeoval Central West NSW. Banjo Patterson was born around here, and would have played for the mighty Yeoval Eagles if they were around then, probably blindside flanker.

Doctors Gap Outer suburb of Lithgow - up the Hartley Valley Road. There are no Doctors in Doctors Gap. Nearest decent pie is in the CBD.

The Bakehouse on Wentworth in Blackheath (branches in Leura, Springwood and Glenbrook) has excellent pies, pastry better than the stuff you get in Paris. Parisian prices, unfortunately.

Nusadan

Longueville, wonder why it hasn't been in this thread earlier (yes I used the search function here), seeing as quite a few here would be familiar with the pub of the same name but oddly in the next suburb of Lane Cove...am sure there's a pie or two in one of the two servos in that locality!

Essendon - town in Victoria supposedly have an aerial ping pong team of some repute featured heavily in the Drugs in Sport thread.

Newnes, NSW. Shale oil mining and processing occurred there. Abandoned nowadays, except for some wilderness camping.

Skene's Creek - small town in Victoria on the Great Ocean Rd where the back road into Apollo Bay hits it. No bakery in Skene's Creek (but a good one in Apollo Bay).

Killarney Vale - suburb of the Central Coast. Has a nice little bakery there that does a mean Bushman's breakfast but not sure about the pie situation.
