It is what it is

John Solomon (38)
Airlie Beach- Mainland stop off for Whitsunday Islands boaties.
Many people there are either holidaying or hiding and it's where I last saw Rodney Rude perform. He was on fire insulting the audience and dealing with pommy backpackers.

Red card issued for Airlie Beach. A very popular location. Unfortunately already been tried 3 previous times.

Airlie Beach- Gateway to the Whitsunday Islands & a backpacker haven.
Airlie Beach - The only place in Qld you can get a drink on easter sunday.
Airlie Beach - Ends in H. Fuck I'm sick of places ending in A
Too bad it's been done twice already.

Start town name reverts to "A".

ARTHURS SEAT - VIC
Do you have tatts???
Do you smoke Winnie Blues???
Do you like VB???

If you answered YES to 2 of the 3 questions, move to Athurs Seat. (More commonly known as Arties Arse). It is deep in the heart of Frankston, and thank goodness the Mornington Peninsula freeway makes sure you don't need to stop here. Girls names are usually Shaz or Shaniquah. The boys are usually in Pentridge, BUT... It is still better than Aubu..... :)

Penguin

John Solomon (38)
Tenterfield on NSW- Qld border - Home of the Saddler & a lovely little Terrier.

I think it's a Leaguie town, can't vouch for pies but the pizza shop is a good un!

Baldric

Jim Clark (26)
Dunkeld - Vic. I would not worry about a pie there. Go straight to the Royal Mail Hotel and fill up on some great food.

Deepwater, NSW. This joint on the New England Highway can be as cold as a kiss from the Mother-In-Law.
I recall driving through this place in January and there was snow on the side of the road. The Glen Innes Elks is the nearest Rugby Club.

boyo

Mark Ella (57)
Rylstone, NSW (near Mudgee). Pies at Rylstone Woodfired Bakery.
The town is off the Castlereagh Highway (the main road between Lithgow and Mudgee).

Eaglehawk Neck, Tas. This small town is on the thin bit of Tassie where the Tasman Peninsular joins the main part of Tassie. In olden days, they used to stake dogs across the Neck to stop the Port Arthur prisoners in from escaping. Nearest decent pie can be obtained from the Spring Bay Hotel in Triabunna.

Pfitzy

George Gregan (70)
Kulgera NT - first town on the NT side of the border. Never been there, but want to road trip through one day on the way to Uluru.

Edit: first when coming up the Stuart, of course

AVOCA BEACH -NSW

Home to two genuine nice guys of the game, being Matt Hodgson (Aus,Western Force etc) and Jesse Parihi (Aus 7's Capt). On the sunny Central Coast aka Gods waiting room, it is more well known for the scuttling of ex HMAS Adelaide just off the beach. It is a fairly bland seaside town with not one iota of decent fare in the culinary stakes. The old pie shop when young Norro used to have it was great, but it is not of quality now. If you didn't have the theatre and the surf, you might prefer Auburn. But more than likely not, just. ;)

Home Island, Australian Overseas Territory. This place is so left field it is in the Central Eastern Indian Ocean as part of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. No rugby is played by any of the 500 local residents, although the Clunies-Ross name associated with the island group is well known in rugby circles.

DICKS HILL -NSW

It was either here or Dunbogan, which I think has been done. Dicks Hill is right near the seaside town of Laurieton and just south of Port Macquarie. Massive Chicken schnitties at the Bowlo (North Haven) and a good, not great fish and chippery in town. More oldies than anything else here. Has a massive power surge when they all go to bed at 7pm because A Current Affair has finished. Nice place to send your Grandparents to. Its like the Hotel California... You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. Auburn is fodder for this place.

Well spotted boyo

L remains the next starting letter

Lucknow, near Orange, site of former mining (some mining headsets are still there). Possibly named after a place in India.

If you want to do a quick check if your "town" has already been used, click in the "Search" box just below your user name above. Type in your "town". REMEMBER to check the "Search this thread only" box in the options in the search popup. If your "town" is not found in this search then it will be OK. If it has already been used, then it will be disqualified and we revert to the previous "town's" last letter as the guide to the next "town".

ASHGROVE - QLD

Nobody went to school at Marist Bros Ashgrove, so did Knuckles, Dos, the Herbs and KRudd... That translated is John Eales, John Connolly, matthew Hayden, Anthony and Daniel Herbert and KRudd. The north sid of town, I know there is an ok pizza place there and a devent burger shop, but don't recall the dog eyes... Any place that produce so many genuine Aussie legends ( and KRudd) has got to be way, way, waaaaayyyy better than Suburn

KRudd (and his brother) went to Ashgrove due to the brothers' generosity helping his family out when his father died. His mother got back on her feet after a couple of years and took young Kevvie out of boarding school, he finished his schooling at Nambour HS with Wayne Swan. KRudd has subtley dissed Ashgrove a few times since his departure, the ungrateful bastard.
