Train Without a Station

I think the biggest issue is complacency, is the talk of Genias attitude at training towards young players and indication that he believes he has the right to be in the 9 all the time. Maybe a bit of a shakeup is required and some of the stars need to be benched and told to earn their spot.

Could not agree more. I noticed off a line out Quirk delivered one slightly short. Rather than reading the throw and stepping into it, Genia lent into it, knocked on then could be seen on camera giving a bit of a spray. It's a bit of an enduring memory I have of him though. Thurston in league is similar. Any time a mistake is made they look to blame everybody else. You have to wonder how much you can expect a bloke to be pushing themselves to be the best when every mistake they look to blame anybody else.

I wish we could play these pricks again next week. The fucking condescending bullshit that is filtering in from south of the border is enough to make me steer clear of this forum for a good while. I would rather any-side beat them, than listen to the dribble. The club and supporters are so fair weather, and obnoxious and it is the reason why the club will crumble. Thank heavens when it does.

If you are an arm chair critic you blame the coach.

If you are of the inner sanctum and accountable for your decisions, you suck it up and face the reality we got fucking belted, then you knuckle down and address the issues and move on.

Before the anti Graham tripe gets rolled out, let's re-visit this same clash in 2011. We got toweled that night in much the same fashion. Link was the coach and the one who played Horwill at 6 and Quirk at 7 that night.

The coach bashers might want to remember this before passing judgment with the benefit of hindsight and rose colored glasses.

I am not into bashing Graham atm, but in the case you cite Link selected players out of position and quickly learnt his mistake and took the right corrective action. Were there any players out of position on Saturday, and what errors and corrective action by the coach can you see fixing the problems the Reds had in this game?

Slightly harsh I think. Why can't you direct your venom to the team that were comprehensively outplayed? I don't think you would want a rematch next week as it would be more of the same or worse. I know you were talking up the Reds pre-match and that is what all good supporters should do. Please don't tar us all obnoxious if we support blue.

Can you point to any examples of this egregious condescension? You talked pretty dismissively of the Waratahs chances beforehand, yet are so outraged by a few fans enjoying their team's good performance, pretty much without any crowing that I have noticed. And I do read most of it.

You proved my point with your own post. NSW beat QLD on the NIGHT, you are not all of the sudden the best team ever nor are we completely hopeless.
Absolutely I would, just as the boys would love to play you again this week. Are you that conceited? I will always talk up the Reds, no matter how they are going, and that is why our club will prosper. A club cannot be strong if supporters only care when they are winning. I don't see any reason to change my brush.

What kind of exercise would that be? One merely to justify your pseudo-intellectual smug complacency I would guess. Did you pick up egregious when you were doing all the reading? Clearly you did not come across the words pronounced, obvious, or flagrant on your literacy journey. Clear communication is the essence of a strong point.

Your club gets such advantages over every other side in the conference to the detriment and health of the code in this country. Everything is catered to your team, but you still as an organisation manage to piss it up against the wall with your internal bullshit. You have one decent win, and all of a sudden everyone is Ewen Mckenzie and could pick the weaknesses in the Reds side as if overnight they just forgot how to play. Embarrassed by superior players. It's just such nonsense, when a team gets momentum, the team feeds off that because a successful unit is greater than the sum of it's parts.

All this crap about how this bloke outplayed this bloke. It's not how the game is actually played, every performance is linked to the performances of those around them. The Reds had an off night, they didn't show up, consequently the Tahs played beautifully and gave us a pasting. It happens. You pick yourself up and get on with it.

Oh, fucking calm down.
You post to the effect that there is a litany of smug condescension, when there really is not, and you can't back it up.
You talk the Reds up strongly each week, and that's fine, passion is a great thing. But you can't blow your load because a few fans are happy the Waratahs finally start putting some decent performances out there. How is one fine, the other not?
Maybe a break is a good idea? If this is riling you up, it's probably good to walk away and take a breath?

Nothing I have said is incoherent or untrue. Why do you feel that I am getting riled? This is exactly my thoughts on the matter.

Read through it, there is nothing even slightly egregious about it.

Reading your initially quoted post, you seemed riled. It must have been the talk of "fucking condescending bullshit", which seemed so bad as to drive you away. I apologise for my apparent misuse of "egregious". Not much I can say about your fairly bitter hatred of all things NSW, so I won't bother.
Have a good night.

I'd love to be smug about you guys ending up with Richard Graham, but we ended up with Foley, so that kind of harshes my buzz.

Just remember, first coach out the door this year is Foley. You pricks just get in line.

Don't have a pithy little go at me, as you walk away with your tail between your legs. Their is nothing bitter about my attitude towards NSW. I don't even live in QLD anymore, as I have said I'm speaking facts. The NSW bias from the ARU in our code is unprecedented. Yet you have nothing to show for it, and are the most likely club to actually cease to exist if left to your own devices. All of this when your market is the largest in the country, in the supposed rugby heartland of this country.

I'm not sure what this had to do with anything:

And this one might display potential signs of bitterness:

Its appears so doesn't it? Even at the cost of credibility and transparency to the rules and fabric of the competition. Wouldn't it be fantastic to actually see how your squad can be assembled under the "salary cap," with cold hard tangible figures. The whole monetary system of paying players is Stalinist and outdated.

What is this?

Write something, that has even the framework of structure and I will respond.

tranquility, you're obviously riled up about the loss, so my advice would be to just step away from the keyboard for a little while...........

After the Brumbies round one loss to the Reds I was so mad at my players that I went away for a while to construct a time machine so I could go back one year and find an early 2013 Jesse Mogg...........

Unfortunately the project was abandoned when my partners realised I would be misappropriating such an important scientific breakthrough on something so meaningless, and not say killing Hitler or going into the future to get some hoverboards..........

Oh, and ignore qwerty.........

It's only the second game of the season; there's still plenty more games for the Reds to hit their stride. Though the Tahs looks good now, who's to say they're peaking too early in the season?

For what it's worth, I haven't read any smug comments from Tah supporters in the match thread, so not sure why you're going off on a tangent about NSW/ARU bias.
