And I was fucking right - you WERE offside all night and you DID infringe at the ruck a lot.
:p should be a cracker of a game. The pressure the Tahs team must be feeling would be massive, Brumbies too, but not as much.

Of course he's fucking worried (English language - try it).

I'm within spitting distance of a grand final appearance and all that stands in the way are a bunch of pseudo-South Africans and their small minded fans. Despite finishing clear minor premiers, no-one is going to remember that if we go down now.

Suppose Brumbies fans will still claim some kind of moral victory regardless of the outcome, but they're not a snowball's hope in hell of winning in Christchurch after the absolute demolition job they copped last time.
No if we don't win it , It will suck, but if we beat the Tahs in Sydney we can beat the Saders in CC.

Agreed. Forecast is possible showers in Moore Park on Saturday but otherwise day temperature should peak around 20C and there will be no excuses from my quarter over conditions or playing personnel.

While Brumbies and their fans are riding high after playing some good rugby the last couple of weeks, I think they'll still be a bit disappointed they didn't finish top of the Aussie conference. That won't matter if they make the Grand Final - got to be in it to win it.

Just think, if the Sharks and Brumbies win, everyone flies back to South Africa for a drudge-fest.

The Tahs will be feeling pressure all right, but it will be the right kind of pressure, Cheika is a canny enough coach to make sure their mental attitude is spot on. He has not put a foot wrong in this respect ever since taking over, he won't start now.

Although it would make me smile to go over there to SA and out Jakeball... Jake White.. it would feel like Justice..

If there've been 33,000 tickets sold the crowd's going to be about 40k when members are added in. I imagine the NSWRU would like to sell another coupla thousand to get a full house. THEN we'll get the inevitable scalpers hanging around like hyenas.

Not a thought I want to dwell on. Brumbies a chance against the Tahs but Tahs rightly are favourites. But Crusaders will beat the Sharks after they have the problems of travelling to ChCh.

The mighty Tahs:
Israel Folau,
Alofa Alofa,
Adam Ashley-Cooper,
Kurtley Beale,
Rob Horne,
Bernard Foley,
Nick Phipps,
Wycliff Palu,
Michael Hooper (capt),
Stephen Hoiles,
Jacques Potgieter,
Kane Douglas,
Sekope Kepu,
Tatafu Polota-Nau,
Benn Robinson.

Reserves:
Tola Latu,
Paddy Ryan,
Jeremy Tilse,
Will Skelton,
Mitch Chapman,
Pat McCutcheon,
Brendan McKibbon,
Matt Carraro,
Taqele Naiyaravoro,
Cam Crawford
(one to be omitted)

WAR: Folau, Alofa, Ashley-Cooper, Beale, Horne, Foley, Phipps; Palu, Hooper (c), Hoiles, Douglas, Potgieter, Kepu, Polota-Nau, Robinson.

WAR replacements (two to be omitted): Ryan, Tilse, Latu, Skelton, Chapman, McCutcheon, McKibbin, Naiyaravoro, Carraro, Crawford.

I think we can probably assume McCutcheon and Crawford will be the two omitted.

Regular readers will know I rate Crawford highly, but my reasons for wanting Crawford on the bench are as back-up fullback. If Carraro and Naiyaravoro are both chosen then we would have to either drop Beale back, move Horne to 12 and bring on a winger or drop AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) back, bring Horne in one and bring on a winger. That's too much disruption to our pattern.

I'm not so sure I like the idea of Ryan coming on as hooker and Latu as THP. Ryan's scrummaging ain't that bad. ;)

hmmmm...just tested.......... can still but 4 tickets in a row in bay 15(plat) or 4 in a row in bay 20(bronze)....that worries me:(

What would be better would be if the Sharks win and come to Sydney, and Jakeball gets rammed down their fishy little throats by finely executed running rugby.

Still, must concentrate on this weekend.

It mean more for Brumbies fans but if the Tahs have to do it then I agree... Although, I have a feeling they will struggle against the Saders

Well, no surprises there. As discussed it really is only a question of Carraro versus Crawford - a decision made more difficult by Crawford's game against the Reds where, by all accounts, he played well.

If we are beaten this weekend, you can't say we didn't have the personnel to start with.

if we are beaten, we must not make any excuses.
otoh, it the other lot are beaten, we shall need very high class ear plugs.

i am expecting the great result.
Tahs to be too big, too fast, too good

That's because Brumbies fans are self-centred in their little town and want revenge.

Waratahs fans want to improve the world by playing better rugby

:)

Yep, The Waratahs have given so much to rugby over the years.. Tom Carter, Matt Dinning..

Rugby is about balance something the Tahs will regret not having come Saturday night.

Who knows what will happen on Saturday night but one thing the Tahs did have this season was balance.

The best attack and the best defence in the competition.

If only we were playing for sheep stations I might be more relaxed. It's far more important than that!
