IIRC there was one young bloke charged with supply of steroids, and a bunch of Sharks players bullied into admitting being drug cheats through the offer of a lashing with a wet bus ticket.
There are some who will say that the political grandstanding orchestrated by the muppets actually compromised the chances of that investigation nailing some guilty folk.

Not just gone as a player either, banned for life from any participation (eg coaching) in all WADA sports.
Obviously there is a lot of water to go under the bridge yet before then, we don't really have all the info and he might well be not guilty or have not been involved in anything, but interesting given some of the rumoured support from the ARU/QRU as it didn't happen on their watch (allegedly).

Assuming the drug infractions come under the AFL's purview, which it looks like it they will, the maximum penalty is a ASADA (and possibly WADA) enforceable life ban. No guarantee he'll cop that though. If he does he can always go become an NFL punter, unless of course he can't get a visa.

I dont see why it should be a ban for life, if he supplied players then I would agree but if he was supplying the general public and was not using himself then I dont see why a life ban would be imposed.
That being said, I would like to see the ARU declare him as not being a suitable person to play based on character and have an unofficial life ban.

Paul Wilson is calling an upsurge in violent crime.
"We've had, since January, nearly 60 armed robberies and over the last three months we've had five shootings, so that is far away from just simply being a statistical blip," Professor Paul Wilson said.
He said the spike in shootings and armed robberies could be a result of tough economic times or an influx of illegal guns.
But he said drug dealers and drug gangs were more likely to be the root of the problem.

This article from 2011 is a police union official who at the time was campaigning for greater manning on the Gold Coast to reduce hours and the workload, crime rates have actually declined since then not that this is statistical evidence of the Gold Coast supposedly been the "Kings Cross on Steroids" anyway..
Just to put it in perspective, the Gold Coast averages 1.3 shootings per month, Western Sydney alone average 17 shooting per month. Yes Western Sydney has a greater population, but that's not proportionate to the number of shootings.
