Brumbies now sit precariously on top of the Aus ladder - 10th overall, and very little separating all the teams..........

Those narrow losses in previous weeks really hurt.

Good signs fir the brumbies with Powell and Hawera looking sharp with good hands after third round... The two are building a strong halves combo in the Oz comp... Tahs next week... They will have their hands full...

Nic White and Joe Tomane were stunning for Montpellier against Clermont today. That's what Brumbies need

The season where Tomane produced the outstanding form that would have made him a first choice Wallaby was after he had announced he was going overseas.

Tomane always go injured when he was in form and White was the 3rd best halfback. What was he meant to do?

Over pay or over promise? Neither is a good option.

Not sure ... Tomane had injuries like all players but over 5 seasons with teh Brumbies 68 caps 125 points he got only 17 Wallabies caps with 25 points scored.

As I remember Cheika favoured was playing ACC and Horne on the wings...

Adam Ashley-Cooper was consistently one of our best players.

Without doubt Tomane's best form was in 2016 by which time it was already announced he was going overseas. Then he got injured and didn't play again.

I think you are reinventing history if you're suggesting there was a time when he was close to our best winger before that.

The period he played most of his tests we were drastically short on wingers due to injury. That's also the time Chris F'Sautia and Peter Betham were selected.

No my point is he was spotted early as talent but didn't get the opportunity to develop, he isn't alone... ACC played in more losing Wallabies teams than any other player I think... But at least ACC could was a winger... but Horne??

He played 17 tests. That's a fair amount of opportunity.

Stephen Moore and Adam Ashley-Cooper are the second and third most capped Wallabies ever. Are you really surprised they've played in more losing tests than any other Wallaby?

I reckon if you went through the tests Rob Horne started at wing you'd be able to pick out a handful of games at most where Tomane was available as well. I think picking Horne as somehow being the reason Tomane didn't play a lot of tests isn't particularly accurate.

How many minutes do you think that was?

Example Horne 33 tests 20 points since 2010. But to be fair this isn't about Horne he is an honest hard player just lucky he was Tah under Cheika who became the national coach...

My point is many posts here are addressing we can't run 5 super teams but look at the talent we lose... Perhaps if we had and Australia A team again some of these guys could develop and stay longer... But that may not be possible under the extended Super 18 rugby season o_O

Plenty of minutes. Tomane started 15 of those 17 tests and only got replaced in 4 of those 15 starts.

22 of Horne's 33 test appearances happened prior to Cheika becoming national coach.

Haven't heard much about JB. I guess Alcock's doing a pretty good job at 7 so far this year. Missing most of pre-season has put JB on the back foot and only played some Runners games.
