So we're upset about losing a kiwi to New Zealand? If he feels like a kiwi and grew up there to kiwi parents He's not a loss he's going home
Fundamentally, he came through the Brumbies systems, played 2 years of under 20s for Australia, signed a 2 year deal with an Australian side and was about to enter his 3rd year of NRC.

I'm not saying it's unreasonable, but typically if you change after age grades you go "down", at least from which side has the better development systems POV. I think being at least a little pissed off is somewhat justified.

Talk in English press that Leicester Tigers are signing Steve Cummins for 3 months to cover for injuries.

Looking at the talk on here about him, not too impressed hopefully we can do a bit of a Steve Mafi on him.

Chibba spending some in the premiership prior to Super Rugby. The rise of Jordan probably helped the move.

Happy enough with these moves.

The coaching structures around the Rebels/Rising all season seems to be off the pace. So hopefully Chibba can come back in his best form and Cummins can learn more about the craft of a lock.

Only worry is that have these guys had enough rest come start of the new season.

I think Cummins probably cops a bit too much criticism on here; he's improved quite a bit over the last couple of seasons. He's more of a work-rate type than an impact type though. If he was our bench lock, instead of #1, I think most people would have been happy with him.

Provided they don't come back broken. Also a way to defray costs over the break. Better financial management already in place ?

Given how our S&C guys have prepped us for the season the past couple of years I would support our entire list spending summer away from them.

Happy enough with Chibba leaving: Let's him play more top level in hopes of retaining his starters spot for us and/or looking to break back into the wobblies squad, and Siliva gets more time here.

Less so Cummo. He's played a lot of Super Rugby this year, along with NRC where he's captain. Beyond the quality of games played issue, I'd be a little shitty with the Rebels letting him go and "abandon" the NRC campaign, leaving much of the forward pack a little devoid of EXP, particularly if Toolis and Leota remain absent.

Will Hanson and Siliva get a lot of time next year, with the Wallabies reserve hooker now expected to jump from No 4 rated at the Rebels to No 1?

Without a coach you can't say for certain. But, I'd imagine that Uelese and Hanson would be getting all the starts between them, with Uelese slightly ahead but being managed due his young age, while Siliva would likely be considered primarily injury relief.

So if Wessels heads north then you need a coach.

Stiles was Melbourne born and it would seem he's a big chance of being available.

Reg who are Reds replacing Stiles with? McGahan? Good luck with that. Or is your definition of north Queensland as opposed to Munster?

I think pretty much everyone in Australia, outside of QLD, hopes that Stiles sees out his contract and gets an extension till after the 2027 RWC ;) Actually, I'd be happy if we picked up Matt Taylor. His name was being tossed around a while back.
