Bit of a whanau reunion, Sunwolves likely 15 Robbie Robinson is the Mackenzie's cousin.

I a bit surprised that Cooper not taking the chance to stand DMac down for one of his rests in this game.

What's with the commentators always saying how good cricket is.?

He is pretty average.

We're giving England a right proper paddling in the Eden Park test. If I were a commentator I'd want to be dropping it in there as often as possible, regardless of context, like some form of commentary Tourette's.

"Goodgue dummies and makes a half break down the left flank ..... WE DISMISSED THE POMS FOR 58! ..... but is brought down by the Bulls cover defence ..... STEADY THE SHIP WILLIAMSON SCORED A CENTURY! ..... and the Crusaders recycle the ball quickly before folding back to the right where their forwards are set up ..... 58! ..... Taufua takes the contact ten metres out ..... AT EDEN PARK! ..... but gets an offload away to the winger ..... THE USELESS BASTARDS! ..... oh and George Bridge scored a try or something."

^^^^^^^^^ it being Shiggins it's hard to know for sure but I (& I suspect zer0) assume so. Either that or he's pissed off with what's happening in CT & venting on a random thread.................

Anyhoo, here's some highlights (mostly rubbish but check out Ismael's try & Goodhue's first - note also Pollad's reaction to the latter: I can see this Bulls side falling apart if Mitchell's admirably expansive game plan doesn't start delivering results soon):

What you don't see in the vid is that the Bulls had four driving mauls inside the CruSadists 22 in the first 10 minutes & came away empty-handed whereas the CruSadists scored on their first & third or fourth visits.

I though it a fairly ordinary game, both teams didn't seem to treasure the ball. Very concerned that Whitelock came off for HIA, and did they say Crotty did too? Anyway not a game that will stick in my mind for too long.

^^^^^^^^^^ Whitelock wasn't given an HIA & Crotty passed his:

https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby...d-news-for-crusaders-following-win-over-bulls

Both should be on the plane to SA & BA.

Agree it was mostly rubbish, if ever the Bulls needed to revert to their pre-Mitchell game plan it was last night. That said there were some cracking tries & if Goodhue's not at least in the AB 23 to play France they'll be rioting from one end of Cashel St to t'other!

Tribe could get a hundred here, Sunwolves D is so full of holes it's hard to tell if the left edge is worse than the right or the midfield worse than either..........

5 minutes into this what I've assumed will be the match of the round and I'm already on the edge of my seat. Hurricanes with backs like the two Barretts, Perena, Savea and Laumape up against Highlander's Smiths, Naholo and Sopoaga. Seems like the 'Canes have the edge as J. Barrett seems to have matured into a complete fullback.

ASav appears to have popped one or more ribs.

HTF did TMO almost get that wrong? Clearly wasn't Lam's foot in touch, thank God he twigged before the ref made a cnut of them both.

Yeah the TMO has one job and he was pretty blasé about all that, "yeah buddy that's a boot in touch, no try - oh wait, there could be multiple boots..."

A.Savea going off didn't look too good, hope he's fit and firing by next week to lose valiantly to the Rebels.
