James O'Connor signs with West Harbour. WTF?

I was lucky enough to be at the photo shoot and meet the man. I like many were prepared for attitude and elevated self opinion but have to say he was one of the most down to earth and likeable young blokes I have met. He spent time with everyone who wanted to speak with him and stood for over an...

    Shute Shield 2013

Wests have a senior and a colts squad in Auckland. Played Glenfield. Wests won both games 17-8 in Colts and 56-0, 10 tries to none, in the 1st grade trial. They play Silverdale next week.

Well worded as always Andrew, I'm sure it will get back but anyone that objects to what you say or thinks less of you for saying it is a fool. Fully agree that Myles could be a force in the top grade, and he is a great guy, I wish him all the best.

    Shute Shield 2013

Glenfield and Silverdale according to their web site, will be interesting to see how they go, I'm sure the results will be posted.

    Shute Shield 2013

Nearly the tenure issue was held up due to the precinct being under a "Plan of Management" this does not allow any renewal or discussion re leases whilst the process is under way. Now all settled. Red Tape really.

    Shute Shield 2013

Preseason - Wests Play Souths in a full club trial then go to NZ for 2 games against Aukland Clubs followed by a club trail against Easts.

    Shute Shield 2013

Not many have heard the rumour Wests are losing Concord Oval because they are not. I guarantee it. Also Kohen Mason rumoured to be at Easts is at Wests. Don't believe everything you hear.

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

My gripe is not with Uni at all. The issue is, many (I can't say none) of the clubs have been stonewalled out of the option of having him. No one will talk. Calls not returned. If I was on the board of Uni and NSW came and said do you want another S15 player I'd have to say yes. The issue is...

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

I know for sure other clubs tried to contact both his management and NSW to make offers, I can go so far as to say these offers would have been more lucrative. I know of one club that had very close to a money is no object approach. No calls were returned no discussion entered into. This...

    Shute Shield 2013

All valid Coxy but aren't we comparing Princes to Paupers. I would not dream of taking you on when it comes to Netball but isn't still the highest team participant sport in the country? Doesn't it have more money than god bleeding parents dry since time in memorial. AFL - again rich and no...

    Shute Shield 2013

Try Super 15 why are well looking for something else we don't need. The comp exists already.

    Shute Shield 2013

Here is where I think many have it wrong blaming Club Rugby for poor player development. I know of at least 4 young footballers who are in Academies or fringe Super Squads who are now expert at running around cones and running ladders, they are excellent in the gym. All 4, before they went into...

    Shute Shield 2013

Most sensible answer well said. If you cut the existing clubs you loose millions in revenue, hundreds of volunteers risking on some thing that has already failed in better econimic times. The suggestion from Clubrugbytv is spot on.

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

Don't be surprised if you see the Alaalatoas at the 2 blues next year. The Blues were a couple of frontrowers short of a very good side last year. We all have to accept the unfortunate truth that loyalty is dying, Wests are not the only club to have invested heavily in development of young guys...

    ARU Governance Report

It may give the reasons behind the Club review stitchup. The whole thing was designed to manipulate a result. Report and criteria released after the review which makes it easy to cement the result they want. The interesting thing is the 4 top tier clubs represent and interesting geographic foot...
