This program is not aimed at kids with sporting talent. It is mischievous to suggest that. If you watch the story again you will hear it is aimed at giving kids a chance. Yes they do screen for indicators of success but this is a much wider than rugby. Joeys should be applauded for doing...
So are you saying it is all just a sham? I was pleased to hear this may have been an attempt to help players and the game. I am interpreting our moderator as giving us the heads up nothing has changed. The blackest days may still be ahead of us.
It is fabulous you are so gracious (despite the wound!!). The trouble is this conversation (filling us with the warmth of fond memories) is talking about the last truly even GPS rugby comp in 1979. It's now 2014 with no hope of anything like this ever occurring again.

Yes sorry. I have spoken to my (ex) friend who confesses he may have misled me. I still doubt they could help rebuild a rugby competition around the current GPS model.
The wound still appears to be open. Good to hear that even in those ancient times where there was an even competition it was still always the ref in the thick of it!
I believe SJC 3's defeated the St Greg's 1's. SJC were probably athletics depleted as well. St Greg's seem competent but not viable as potential for the GPS 1s comp which appears destined to self destruct.
Yes a few suggestions would be better than all this talk of the end of Joeys rugby after just one bad loss. That can happen could happen to any decent team.
