Well I know in the 13s that Eastwood beat Gordon 12-5 and Parramatta 44-5 today. I think Manly also lost one to Central coast 15-14 I think.

U15s semi finals

Gordon v Manly
Easts v Central West

Surprises of the tournament were the poor showing from Southern Districts who bowed out today after the play off for 9th and 10th. The other was the improvement of Southern Inland - playing off for 5th and 6th after finishing 15th last year in the U14s.

17's at Bowral see Parramatta, West Harbour, Gordon and Central West in semis. Some very big and mobile boys in Parramatta team.
Parramatta an outstanding team. Southern Districts between by Gordon 3 tries to 1 in quarters after Souths finished 2nd in their pool, but hit hard by injuries. Some good rugby played over the weekend, disappointing to see so fewSydney associations having teams, especially the normally strong northern side of the harbour teams. Where are all the players/teams especially when SJRU Sunday comp has 10 teams in it.

I know the Warringah Rats dropped out at the last minute - couldn't get the numbers.
Note to the SJRU: if you want U17s involved don't have a tournament outside of Sydney in Bowral.
Most parents of 17 year olds have lost the enthusiasm for long weekend tournaments outside of Sydney.
I can remember the fun that was had back in the 'old' days during a trip over the mountains to Orange to watch the U13s or U14s.
Those days are long gone

U16s Parramatta scored after the bell to secure victory against Central Coast. Heartbreak for the "coasties" who had knocked ACT out of the comp in a well deserved victory in the semi finals.

Congratulations to Parramatta on securing their first State Championships in the Age Group.

Disappointing if those parents have lost the enthusiasm, Bowral is not that far away to travel and is a great place to visit, shop, eat inbetween games if wanted. Does that also mean that when teams in the SJRU Sunday comp for this age group drawn to play Bowral at Bowral will not travel. This already happens when teams from the northern side of the harbour have to cross the bridge and has been for years. Such a pity, but it happens
