My sources from Sydney Rowing club suggest that the St Augustine's import will be rowing in the Shore 2nd VIII as one of their members has been struck down with a terrible illness in the past week. This is interesting seeing as Shores dominance in this class may see a detrimental end with the added boy only getting a few sessions in the boat.

Strange don't you think that the Kings 2nd VIII doesn't make it into the a final then somehow the Kings 1st IV is able to win by 2 seconds when only 1 week before this race they lost to Shore by 3 seconds. Hmm and now you say that the stroke and 2 seat were different. This stacking business has gone to a complete new level, now schools will give up racing in the 8's just to get a win in the 4's. I looked at the Results page and the names do not change for the Kings 1st IV from Heat to Final. This is actually disqualification worthy as the same situation happened at PLC where Joeys 2nd VIII raced with 2 1st VIII members in the boat without specifying names which meant they won that race (Shore 2nd VIII was not there) and they were removed from the results. If Shore 1st IV want to follow this up they will have consequently won this race as Kings will be removed from the results. If Shore does not complain i hope someone else does because this is disgraceful.
Disregarding my immature dictum into this astute forum, I find the outset of your conclusion overlooking the evidence provided by formerly contested regattas. Although the details of the St Augustine’s import are unknown and unlikely, I am confident that such alterations will not have any effect on SHORE’s 2nd VIII. This impression is supported in the margins of victory of which the crew holds (particularly at their last regatta). At the Sydney Rowing Club Regatta, SHORE’s 2nd VIII established a 6 second victory across the field. Their time of 6:11.13 also placed them 4th in the 1st VIII division, ahead of St Josephs, Kings, Scots, and Grammar. Due to this evidence (and with the expectation of SHORE not importing a variable rower if they are importing at all), I am comfortable with hypothesising SHORE’s 2nd VIII will not “see a detrimental end” to their season.

Personally I think Kings, Joeys or New could pull it off, if Shore has a rerun of the 2015 HOTR....Doubt it
NO WINS in the lower Fours AT ALL. In fact, NO PLACES. 4th, 4th, 4th, That's gotta hurt.
Think Shore was 3rd in the 3rd IV

Well so far I reckon Shore is having its worst HOTR in years. Regardless of who wins the big two, it's been a brutal morning for them.
So Shore's "The Terrible, Horrible, Very Bad Day" is confirmed.
Respect to the View crew, an astonishing victory.
