if loss breeds charaacter. Shit, well we best pick the BBC (*I picked on a team you know, unlike other states) 16d winger, whomever he is. He is well adjusted to loss. Just remember derick, neither qld sides won last year. length of time spent in a job means jack shit. I work with a guy that has been in the same job for 22 years..Our politicians show this. It breeds contempt.
I am not saying the kid is that, but FFS realise that there are as good, if not better options

Hi Brian

I recall you having quite a bite at me last season (or the season before?) when I raised Glen Cronan's credentials as a selector when he had no significant coaching experience behind him. I recall you speaking in glowing terms of his selecting experience and service to rugby over many years etc etc. How interesting that you are now here offering us:

"....length of time spent in a job means jack shit. I work with a guy that has been in the same job for 22 years..Our politicians show this. It breeds contempt....."

Given that you were just badly burnt, the Fire Brigade's number is 000.

Derick isn't talking about an adult, he's talking about a schoolboy who has a very finite time to play representative rugby in a very strong competition and who has been shown, via his selection for the last three years at state level at least, that he is obviously a very fine player. Hewat' exposure to a National team experience last year implicitly carried the imprimatur of your mate Cronan so we have to assume you agreed with that selection.

Brian, I agree with you that there may be some other boys who are returning players who may have a shot at captaincy - that will be the coach's call. I reckon if I was Phillpotts, I'd be taking Hewat's claims pretty seriously no matter what background he has come from - he presents as physically and emotionally mature and courageous and most importantly as an experienced fellow at this level and that has to be of value to an Australian side if he makes it that far. It didn't seem to do Curtis Browning any harm when he fronted for his third Aust Schools assembly but I note that he won the captaincy over Chris F-Sautia in the same year who also had several Aust Schools experiences under his belt. Curtis' personality and the fact he was the BSHS School Captain lent weight to his claim as well as his experience etc.

Hugh Jarse has written an excellent preview of the Aus Schools Nationals here:

Please provide the link in social media to spread the word.

Thank you.
.

Great review... Some things to note though - Mosley was also in the Aust. 7's squad. He has been moved from no.10 QLD 2 to no.12 QLD 1. Tony Hunt is out due to injury.

^^^^^^^^^^^^

MONDAY 29thJUNE

1. VIC v NSW I 10:00am
2. CS v QLD I 11:30am
3. QLD II v WA 1:00pm
4. NSW II v ACT 2:30pm

It's weird, isn't it?? The ASRU has that; but the ARU lists this:

MONDAY 29th JUNE

1. NSW II v ACT 10:00am
2. QLD II v WA 11:30am
3. VIC v NSW I 1:00pm
4. CS v QLD I 2:30pm

Same games - just different times - and both current at midnight 27Jun15.

Which is the correct version ??

The boys and parents would know.

Mosley has played predominately at flyhalf, so stepping out one will be interesting to see how he goes. I hope he slays it.
But it brings me to question wether QLD actually have a game plan in mind as Tony is a big ball running centre and QLD have replaced him with a second fly half. It seems like a complete 180 on their initial strategy.

The blog reports on the national champs will be sketchy this year but we should have one full match report per day and maybe two.

To to those who think we should write more reports - please volunteer to write before you complain; it will do more good.

It is was it is - hardly anybody is putting their hand up.

Last request - please volunteer to write.

Thank you.
