You’ve got a long way to go yet.
Federal Government approved funds for massive improvements to Brookie oval 5 or 6 elections ago.
Pretty much reaffirmed funding during each election cycle.

Sure, that’s always a risk depending on planning approval and what year it’s budgeted for .

conversely the fed govt pledged money towards Rugby Australia’s golden throne at Moore Park, and it was built the same election cycle

QLD Budget released. Can't see a Ballymore allocation yet.

With the apparent surge in interest from retirees looking to take advantage of the franking credit scheme and the real chance of a recession on the horizon I wouldn't be holding your breath.

Expect another report soon called the “Queensland Sport and Active Recreation Strategy 2019-2029“ that will offer a direction for funding and programs

I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but if funding is to be provided it will be outlined through the new Active Queensland program, its the new state govt program for funding sports from grassroots through to elite, was only released last week and part of the focus is constructing new facilities in the 1st phase.

For those that are interested, QRU have requested an extension on the previous DA which was due to expire in Aug 2020, they've requested this be extended until 2024.

Funding commitment from the state govt alleged to be coming next week, 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup been used as extra weight to push the project across the line in the short term, and Brisbane 2032 Olympic bid in the long term.

$30million overall for the project, $15 million from feds, and $15 million from state. Initially RA were to commit $5million as well, which I can’t see occurring now.

unfortunately thats the world we live in.. That been said hopefully it doesn't turn into an election promise and funding can be released before that as part of the COVID economic rebuild.

If we get the Olympics it would need an upgrade for seating and artificial turf. This upgrade wont have that.
