Wow, how bad is the Rebel defence this game? Very depressing. Blues are breaking tackles and offloading way too easily.

Doesn't help when Phipps gifts them the ball.

If the Rebs don't "do a Shorks" in the sheds at halftime and come out firing in the second half, this game is going to get messy for them.

Lucky Piutau made that mistake - Piutau pretty much gave away the penalty by instantly showing he did the wrong thing.

Rebels need the break to settle down.

Rebels attack a bit static now.

Saffy just flattened someone. Saffy's been strong with the ball since he has been back.

Rebels with a lineout 15m out from the Blues line, 37 gone.

Strong maul, Luatua runs around in the side. That looked cynical, was right in front of the ref too. That sort of stuff is close to a card. Stupid play Luatua.

Another Rebels drive from the 5m lineout, but the Blues stop it. TH prop looked to come around the side, tackles the Rebels player with the ball and turns it over.

Blues run it back to halfway and the Rebels force them into touch 45m from their own line.

Rebels win the lineout, but it's messy off the top. Nice offload Saffy midfield, Rebels go over the advantage line. Rebels drift sideways, Mitchell kicks out on the full in a totally dumb and pointless play.

That's half time.

Oh, and Noakes is as bad a goal kicker as I am. Which is bad. Terrible, you might say.

Rebels look disorganised on attack now with JOC (James O'Connor) off, and Mitchell looks out of his depth.

Saili, Ranger, Halai ripping the Rebels defence to shreds. Mitchell, Vuna, JOC (James O'Connor) missed more thann their fair share of tackles in the first half.

Mitchell "does a Norton-Knight". Needing to retain the ball after the siren has sounded, and what does he do ? Chip and chase that goes out on the full. pretty ordinary stuff.

Noakes was doing ok until I put him in my fantasy team this week #MissingAnscombeAlready

“A knock-on occurs when a player loses possession of the ball and it goes forward, or when a player hits the ball forward with the hand or arm, or when the ball hits the hand or arm and goes forward, and the ball touches the ground or another player before the original player can catch it.
‘Forward’ means towards the opposing team’s dead ball line.”

Seems the TMO didn't make the correct decision, "catch" being the important word
