The Wallabies have requested for David Pocock, Allan Ala'alatoa and Scott Sio to be withdrawn from the Brumbies' clash against the Japan Sunwolves at Canberra Stadium on Sunday.

Good to hear that the Brumbies are prioritising the clubs future and refusing to withdraw them.

C'maan …

The decision to rest the Brumbies trio has been described as "in the national interest of Australian rugby"

Canberra is not in Australia. Australia ends at the Gladesville Bridge.

Thank goodness it finally sorted!

After just over 4 years since they moved in the Brumbies finally they have formal agreement in place with UC. I hope this is the last we hear of this for a long time and its good it provides some security for the future.

The terms have since been adjusted for both parties, who will co-exist on campus and share resources until at least 2043.

Righto - Go Brumbies!

GAME DAY to do list: (12c expected <10% chance of rain)

  • Get in early - first 2600 fans through the gates this weekend will get a "moondog" sausage roll to help warm the hands before kick-off against the Sunwolves. The news gets even better - sauce is included.
  • For the players entrance: So here's the plan (and we hope the Brumbies are listening): Everyone gets a pair of horse hooves to put on their hands, and then clap in unison like a horse galloping when the team runs out. We'll call it "The Gallop". Rookie Brumbies hooker Connal McInerney came up with the name and we like it.
  • The Brumbies will also offer 15 "surprise and delight" packs, random upgrade ticket options, autograph ally and fans on the field after the match.
Not a bad effort by the Brumbies. See you there!

Christian Lealifano signed in Japan for the 2018/19 season.

Brumbies looking to secure a dual contract.

How has this not been reported here yet? Did we ban all Brumbies fans from the forum or something?

Because he was in discussions of going back to Ulster but they took too long to sort out their problems over there with the Paddy Jackson and new coach arrangement

Useful number 8.

I'm sure Jordan Smiler will be happy to catch up with some old mates. Another guy with a couple of Brumbies caps on the bench as well.

Smiler is a better back rower than lock imo, but he is an excellent jumper in the lineout, so will be good value there for Sungoliath.

Seems we've come through this period without any injuries, and Peni is eligible again. I've accepted that Lilo is a 10 and that means we need to start thinking about who plays at 12 next year. Should we be giving Peni a go there? I like the Muirhead-Speight-Banks back three a bit too much to change it.
