Rumor is Talakai wont play aginst Barker, to make sure he is 100% for CAS
Nic Rogers, former Nudgee College player, will play 2nds as a come back

diwi10

Stan Wickham (3)
Trinity 48-13 (or 45-13)

Cranbrook a lot stronger that the first round game. Piled on 2 penalty kicks and a converted try in the first half. Good defence by Trinity. Took them a little while to get going and when they did they piled on the points. Good attacking game again. Good team game.

Sorry yes Rogers played today Talakai rested for CAS
I don't know how anyone can be selected to play for CAS when they haven't played for their school side and proven their fitness. Isn't he the captain? Would have thought the captain would want to play for their school side rather than save themselves for a rep game.

I remember he played the round 1 game against barker and he dominated. I also beleive that he was told by the physio that it wouldnt be 100% this week, but alright the next. So i don't think it was a decision to "dog" the team, it was just listening to the specialist after the MRI scan. Regardless, i think there is a severe lack of props in this years CAS competition who are as strong at scrummaging as they have been in the past CAS years.

The CAS coaches approached his school coaches and said for him not to play this week after proving himself on camp with CAS 1st XV, he is going to play a vital role in providing impact against GPS tuesday night.

Nevertheless, CAS will get pumped by GPS. On another note, what was everyones thoughts on the game this week? Was Cranbrook as close as people said they were? Aloys seemed to keep knox closer than expected? And i thought barker wouldve done better than that considering they got more CAS players selected than waverely?

Due to injuries and a sterling performance against barker on the weekend, AUS schoolboys hopeful T.Cipolla has been reinstated into the CAS 2's side. His fitness and scrimmaging in particular was too superior for the opposition. However waverleys scrum was not as dominant as per usual, can anybody give reason for this???

Maybe because they had a lock playing in the front row, a lazy scrummager in the No 8 and the other front rower is soft on engagement and has a lot to learn if he wants to remain in the front row.

Personally, i do not think it is fair to the other front rowers and props to be put too "second best" position, and let a player stroll in with only playing 1 full CAS game this season and re-injuring himself midway through the trinity V Waves game in round 2 of 5 of the 1st round. I do not think that he could've shown the selectors what the position needs, during the first game or the trinity game. Plenty of other great players overlooked, even though he is a reserve for the 1st XV.

Totally agree with you, he is over rated and as with a lot of players are picked on reputations they gained as 15 year olds. It makes no sense as these players rest on their laurels and most don't improve their games as required.
