Good day for Aus, very happy with Siddle in particular and the patience of the bowlers in general. Just like NZ weren't home and hosed last night, Aus are quite there yet, another 50 runs from the openers though and I will be prepared to call it our way. Hughes lucky to survuve, but I thought he showed alot more patience and was more circumspect about waving his bat outside off. Warner did what he does, if the kiwis don't get him out early tomorrow, the game could be over by lunch.
Lets see how tomorrow plays out. For the kiwi's batting, I would be disappointed with Ryder and the bottom 4. There was probably another 30 or more runs to be had if the tail had of played with more dilligence - instead they seemed keen to score as quick as possible and get the aussies in. I feel sprry for Taylor - he will have alot of regrets about this two test series both personally and as captain I hope it doesn't affect his batting long term as he has potential to be a top 10 world batter long term. I personally think the kiwis would be better served by someone else being the c to free Taylor up.
