Premature but hoping Aus will maintain its' unbeaten record vs the ABs at the RWC tomorrow.

If Aus loses tomorrow, Aus will get over it.

If NZ loses tomorrow, not sure NZ will bounce back anywhere nearly as quickly.

Anyway, less than 24 hours to go.

Go Gold.

Has to be so for Sharpie to get 100 tests up in RWC Final. How good would it be to get your hands on Bill in your 100th test.

Fecking brilliant Dingo!

Agree. Sharpe is a class act and has been a real trooper for Aus rugby.
He deserves it.
Go Gold.

Could you imagine winning your 100th cap in a 3rd place play-off? and then lose it? I'd rather stay on 99 then!

This thread is either genius or ignorant. The coin toss'll land sometime tomorrow night though - and I got that old feeling again.

It's a sad thing, but the France win is a good thing for the other finalist, since they're obviously not as good a team as the Welsh.

Wales will shake a few tail feathers in the next few tears. They are heads and, erm... tails better than the rest of the European teams. I would take a few of their players for the Wallabies!

game was very worst of NH rugby. Team with the talent to win with ball in hand sh@t themselves after the send off and shot themselves in the foot. Match was aerial ping pong until wales decided to run with it

Don;t think Australia France will occur but if it did you would absolutely slaughter them as we would in other circumstances

The second semi-final of the inaugural World Cup produced one of the event's great games.
Fra 30-24 Aus
France 30
Tries: Lerieux, Sella, Laqisquet, Blanco
Cons: Camberabero (4)
Pens: Camberabero (2)
Australia 24
Tries: Campese, Codey
Cons: Lynagh (2)
Pens: Lynagh (3)
DG: Lynagh
Australia had been billed as the pre-tournament favourites and on paper looked destined for victory. France had other ideas. Three times the French fell behind and three times Australia looked on course to clinch the win... But France had one remaining trick up their sleeve, which manifested itself in arguably the greatest try in World Cup history. Starting deep within their territory, they ran the ball through the hands of 11 players - backs and forwards alike - before a mesmerising display ended with the ball in the hands of Serge Blanco. Blanco charged to the line, shaking off the grapples of Aussie forward Tom Lawton to score in the corner. Camberabero made no mistake to silence a fairly modest crowd of 17,768 at Sydney's Concord Oval.

17.7k... game has come along way since then.

and IIRC the try by Serge Blanco was an absolute ripper, even though it broke the heart of Australia.

So fecking Gallic.

Will now leave the comparative sanity of this discusion board for a moment and delve into the dark world of gwlad. Am dreading it. I can see the headlines regarding thre F**cking C*nting monkey felching Irish ref without even going there. this will then over the next few days ddescend into introspective self hate. the gnome will be wetting hemself laughing

The brief shots from the Arms Park at the end did not look good.

Any crowd number? IIRC the Fox Sports clowns were calling a 60000 crowd at the Arms Park. FFS there was less than that in Auckland!

Now that is rugby tragics. Only the Welsh.
