no! their parents sent there son to scots because of its sporting success and it program thinking this is a good place for son to further advance his sporting ability! also the shaming and defaming of Dr Lambert is soo bad. You guys dont even go to scots and say he import people and only cares about sport. NO!. Dr Lambert has even bought an academic focus to this school.

hmmm ... one day a hacker will name and shame all the anonymous GAGR bloggers ... ashley madison style

and the good Doctor will be on the phone to Joe Hockey's lawyers

although it does raise some legal questions ... does a typo lessen the insult/injury

.... would Hockey have got less dollars, if it read "Treasurer for Sail?"

... can you defame someone when you were in fact trying to DEFEND them?

in the meantime, it is good to know that the $cots Diploma course is churning out kids with a sense of LOYALTY

although I am not sure that LOYALTY is an asset in a future sporting career

although knowing WHO, brought you to .... I mean bought you to the NRL club, is important

and don't forget the number 1 thing ... that PAPER BAG money.... that never happened ;)

You read the whole thread? That is impressive.
Nearly as impressive as the nuanced satire in this post, especially the part about how "Dr Lambert has even bought an academic focus to this school"!! A true pioneer among educators!

I don't if sarcasm or not..

Give the kid a break.
He's entitled to make a point without a bunch of old farts picking him apart.
( as opposed to picking his arguments apart)
Cyber bullying!

This thread is toxic, based on some perceived wrong done to the rugby status quo.
Whatever the reason was the GPS was formed, it has become a bad marriage.
Time to lose it and let like minded schools form new associations . Then we can lose this thread so people cant bully and cross kiss anymore.

you do not have to take part, read or post on a thread that does not discuss what you want
or discusses that which you do not want.
you once you have made enough contributions, (they don't have to be of any particular standard, though one useful contribution in three or ten is a good start) you can start your own thread and all in sundry can ignore or take part as they wish

It may be toxic, but like an oxidation pond at a Sewage Treatment Plant, it servers a purpose to keep all the relevant posts in one contained place without affecting the general threads.

If you don't like the smell from the oxidation pond, then don't visit here.

i really think youse have no idea ... Like seriously none of youse would know if any player past or present gained a scholarship based on the rugby ability alone .. Youse sit here assuming , guessing , conspiring between yourselves and outer space that kids are procured to their respective schools via a scholarship to play rugby ... Yeah right .. If a parent is paying the bills they have the right to take their child to whatever school they deem fit, even if it is to give their child the best opportunity to play rugby first and academia second .

Rachet, thanks for your contribution.

Heres something that requires no guessing at all. 15 boys at Shore all turned out today to play and none of them get any any fee assistance at all because of their sporting ability.

Two weeks in a row Shore (1st XV) have had 50 points put on them by schools that can not field near as many rugby teams. Shore also soundly beat these schools in lower grades.

You don't need a GPS education to work put that something doesn't add up

Shore will get 50 points put on them next week too ... Does that mean joeys are all on scholarships?

High have spent the whole season getting 50 points put on them, every Saturday

And don't think too many scholarship kids in 3rds comp

Not in straight... You might want to read Jonestown ... And how Kings took the title in 74.

There are a lot of ways to secure a title ... Sometimes it is a lunatic coach, sometimes a good cohort, sometimes just plain guts ... But in the case of scots it will always be scholarships, and nothing else

The sad thing is many of those 15 players might not have ever won a game in their school rugby career. That says more about Shore's attitude to rugby than it does about scholarships at other schools.

So tell us which kids are scholarships you know it alls?

Also when you tell me which kids are on scholarships give us an insight as to which school they left before taking up the scholarship at their current respective school . Don't come on here making claims without backing it up.
