This slipped my attention.
Pat Richards is now Director of Coaching at the Reds. This is a great hire.
I love how QLD/local we are becoming with building this team.
It will do massive things for QLD rugby if we keep going down this route, and not turning our back on the pathways.

What excites me is that for 2019, the Reds finally have quality in attack coach Jim McKay and defence coach Peter Ryan.
Brad Thorn is good as a head coach in that he has the respect of the players, knows how to get maximum fitness from them, and is a great motivator.
But he does need good support assistant coaches, and finally in McKay & Ryan, he has them.
The fact that the nursery of Aussi Super teams last year has one more season of experience, and a good coaching mix, allows me to have a lot of optimism for 2019.
I'd like to believe that we could win more than 50% of our games next season, moving on to greater things in 2020.
