In a weird moment, a group of St Aloysius lads started calling "Joker" to me while I was on my way to work. If it was Shore, then fine, but Alo's??
I showed no sign of recognition or emotion just like I used to when Br Joseph was about to give me six-of-the-best for speaking after lights out

Tom Hartman is an outstanding player and a great lad. I reckon there could be a second Grover in the backline to make it 3 in the team.
Angus Grover made the under 15s gen blue team without playing at the selection tournament due to a broken leg. Clear that he is one of the better players in that age group. I think seconds is a real chance for him with firsts maybe slightly unrealistic, but It would be awesome to see all of the brothers in the team at once.

Agree, Complete and utter b.s. it really is funny how so many chuck muck around on this topic based on nothing at all. Here is a real true story, this past season, one school (not Joeys) featured a star player who happened to be the son of a Joeys old boy. Prior to sending his son to that other school the old boy approached Joeys with the expectation of an arrangement. To his disappointment he was handed a copy of the fee schedule and was left to pursue alternative arrangements elsewhere. Joeys makes do with the players that turn up. A lot of good and keen players turn up because it is a competitive environment and runs a solid
It’s not based on nothing, I was speaking to a dad at a game in 2006 and he mentioned his boy was approached by the school. Much to the dads ‘financial’ disappointment he didn’t want to move. From the inside no one would have known. but it’s not something to get too offended by or upset either way. I think a cap on the numbers would help keep the competition balanced and the relative strengths of the schools programs would show through. Hopefully all the schools keep on producing fine young men, whenever they go.

Must of forgotten to mention his exquisite Percussion skills

Simply not true, other than that,
sure, nothing to get offended about.

I don’t doubt that you were in the conversation. A lot of people like to pump their own tyres, I have heard a number of helicopter dads claim their son was offered a scholarship to school x but didn’t take it. In the case of Joeys they didn’t take it because it didn’t exist.
The guy I spoke to was actually very humble, not an ounce of hubris, he was speaking the truth. I’m sorry if that makes you feel uncomfortable.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard a friends son was offered a scholarship to Joeys I’d be a rich man. But when you ask them who did they speak to at Joeys they have immediately develop convenient amnesia. I call BS and I don’t care how uncomfortable that makes you.

Hey lads,

Does anyone actually understand the pathway for the under 18s gen blue and also the 18s invitational team. It says on instagram that they are playing for a spot in the Waratahs academy... Is this the best players from Gen Blue and Invitational.

Also, will an Australian schools team be announced? I know there was an Australian schools A team picked.

Seems like we both understand how to assess a credible story and the tenets of basic interrogation. I must say a psych degree and 5 years of investigative interviewing helped me a bit, but you weren’t to know that.

Scepticism is healthy, but outright denial also lacks credibility.

All the best.

AAGPS ATHLETICS

Good Evening, today marked a great day in the calendar as the AAGPS athletics carnival kicked off.

It was in my opinion one of the most thrilling to watch AAGPS carnivals.
These were the final results:

Junior

1st Kings

2nd Joeys

3rd Newington

Intermediate

1st Joeys

2nd Scots

3rd Kings

Senior

1st Kings

2nd Newington

3rd Scots

Overall Championship 2022

Kings

All the athletes that competed today should be congratulated on the efforts they have put into today.

All the cheering from all the schools was outstanding to hear and will hopefully be Ditto’d in the future season of rugby.

The Import.
