St Augustine’s play Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie) in Brisbane tomorrow afternoon I believe in the 16A’s, 2nd XV and 1st XV. This will be Churchie’s second trial match since playing Villanova a fortnight ago in the build up to the QLD Schools GPS season in Term 3.

This should be an interesting hit out with opportunities to give game time particularly for the young lads in contention and pushing for a starting / squad spot for the respective schools and upcoming competitions!!

I hear that Saint Augs beat Trinity on Friday in the 1st XV anyone confirm the score?
Yes they did I'm 99% sure that it was 26-12 (something around that score) it was a good game of quality rugby with appearances of players coming back from injury i believe so overall i think saints can have a great season the way they are heading with still many players out because of reasons out of the schools control very excited too see more of this in the ISA season.

Big weekend of trials coming up. Oakhill host Shore, Auggies host Cranbrook (edit), Scots host Stannies and Trinity host Pats for the return clash. Does anyone have any info on what Pius, Gregs and Kinross are doing this weekend?

Updated:
Gregs hosting Riverview 3rds
TAS hosting Kinross
Scots 3rds hosting Pius

Thanks Schmooze.

Oakhill and Shore will give a good insight into how Oaks are shaping up for the season, and Scots vs Stannies could end in either a nail biter or a bloodbath. Pats and Trinity could end like it did a few weeks earlier, but Woods is probably going to be out due to Harold Matthews Cup commitments (grand final), going to be close. Greg’s should have View 3rds, they seem to be quite underrated so far. Kinross and TAS should be another neck and neck game, country rivalry. Pius and Scots should end in Pius knocking them over, should be versing their 2nds to be honest.

This should be a close game, the CAS forum posts have predicted Cranbrook to have quite a successful season this year, and Auggies already have momentum. Could go either way.

Pats 17 - Trinity 17

Tough game. Two tries and a penalty goal a piece.

Trinity with the edge in the scrum and at the breakdown (particularly in the second half), but the Pats defence was strong throughout. Pats with a few too many errors to let the backline find their groove.

Agreed. Only saw the second half but both teams looked good in patches but couldnt capitlise on the work they'd done.

Thought Trinity's backline was quite good.
