Sully, I remember the Radike men, let's just say there hasn't been similar outrage since Watergate.

Not getting into a shit fight, but at least Radike took it in good stride and got a photo with the young blokes.

Reds have some awesome fans though. I don't mean to post continuous photos, but the bloke below is an absolute bloody champion! Not a fair-weather fan, I saw him at Ballymore a few times I'm pretty sure.

He did more than take it in good stride, he got the original pic printed and cut out the newspaper article and put them both on his fridge. Spoke to him the day after that game and he was absolutely chuffed that they went to that level of effort.

The furore was from overseas due to the "Black face" connotations in their culture.

In our culture it has no racial background so rather than being derogatory, it was considered by Radike the same way it was intended, as a tribute to him due to his immense form and noticeable appearance.

Though I do imagine if he didn't have the 'fro they may not have gone to the effort.

Remember the bloke on the Hey Hey it's Saturday revival, that was a fucking mess.

Supposedly Link has no love for JOC (James O'Connor) - so would he even figure in Wallaby contention ????

Scrubber2050, it's not about likes and dislikes with Link. You're thinking of Dingo Deans.
Link is a very analytical coach.
If he thinks JOC (James O'Connor) has what it takes to make a positive contribution to winning the RWC, he'll include him as long as JOC (James O'Connor) has shown he is contrite.
For JOC (James O'Connor), he's got no other option in that regard.
Like Icarus, his wings have been well and truly burnt.

inside word at Reds HQ is that we managed to squeeze an extra, cheap year out of Chabal, big for marketing campaign and toughening up the youngsters,

Also you-tube sensation Tongan Thor has been seen both at Ballymore and Moore Park

Yeah, and I believe Chuck Norris was seen at Ballymore practising a scrum single handed against the entire Reds pack. They had to stop after the Reds kept collapsing.

CFS has to try and fill that role but he unfortunately is an injury proned 20 yr old who weighs in at 92 or so kg, with mike harris being the regular backline heavyweight at 96kg.

Hunt is reported at 89kg and JOC (James O'Connor) very similar, , yes they have freakish skills, but to use them, we must be going forward.

Where is this go forward going to come from? Our current backrow can't provide the momentum required to 'unleash' the backs.

Do we ditch tapuai and start Kerevi at 12 alongside CFS? Too risky perhaps both very raw at 20yrs. Same with young Kuridrani.

Do we keep Tapuai at 12, Kerevi 13 and CFS on the wing to keep our size up, but leave Turner on the bench? (if we do get Hunt)

Or has anyone heard another rumor of who we could be getting there?
Tomane rumor seems to have little merit, as does a Digby return.

Perhaps a big Brumbies Kuridrani?

First thing, CFS is closer to 100kg than 90 my friend. And how big do you suppose he'll be when he comes back from 9 months of not being able to anything except weights? Second thing, I like the look of Kerevi, he would be worth a low-moderate full time contract next year, he may have a large role to play in getting us going forward (in terms of mainline and in team results). Apparently he's well up over the 100kg mark (110kg somebody told me at a GPS club game though I think the Reds have stripped some puppy fat off him.). Hunt if he comes will regain the beef he has had to keep off in the AFL. JOC (James O'Connor) is a finisher and play maker not a metre eater so fair enough.

Unfortunately I think big Tevita is locked away for next year at the brumbies. Likewise Inman at the Rebels and McCabe at the Brumbies. I don't really know what the solution is but grabbing Tomane would be a good start.

I'm skepitcal about listed weights and heights. CFS is definitely shorter than Harris. But CFS, he has a lower centre of gravity and "plays heavier" anyway, even if he's not heavier than Harris.

If CFS remains fit, he could fill the role of strong runner at 13 for the Reds. If.

Kerevi could fill the same role, but I think CFS has more potential at this stage. Kerevi is a bigger, stronger player, but correct me if I am wrong, CFS is more agile and skillful? And CFS can still play a strong, basher role.

CFS at either 13 or wing next year, with Genia, Cooper, Taps, and A. Fainga'a is not too bad a backline to start with. Add in JOC (James O'Connor) and maybe Hunt, and it's pretty good on paper.

The problem is getting them fit and playing well together. Our backline cohesion this year has been pretty damn poor once it gets past Quade. The one hope I have is that Taps and Ant have been getting better as the season goes on, and that continues into next year. Ant is still a bit of an underrated player that I think has been hampered by injury the last few years.
