With Miss Doug today reporting that the leaves are red and falling in Whistler, BC, I think it's time to leave KB (Kurtley Beale), and start a Louge thread!!

I'm getting the impression that the texts were seen and the person has thought something like, "Kurtley's not a bad bloke, let's not tell anybody about this". Then suddenly he's got into an argument with Patson mid-flight and thought "shit, Kurtley's getting up to a bit of mischief, I better tell people about this".

Given the lack of evidence so far - this hypothesis has just as much merit as any of the others put forward in this thread but relies on far fewer assumptions.

Fuck you're pulling out Occam's razor there, and yes what you're saying makes a lot of sense.

But the number of assumptions does not make a theory more viable - the weight of the assumptions made is pertinent.

Based on the rugby club discussion it sounds like they tried to deal with it in team, but since it's come to the attention of higher ups it's clear they didn't properly address it.

Eales has cleared a lot up on The Rugby Club.

Texts were about Patston. Apparently Beale has issues with her.

ARU senior management didn't know about the texts, but players and staff did and initially dealt with it in house, including Patston.

Texts included an obese naked archer, likening her to Patston.

In light of the disagreement on the plane, seems that Patston (or someone else) made ARU senior management aware of the texts.

Beale will get a chance to defend himself on the charges.

My note:
If Beale kept his mouth shut, none of this would have ever occurred to begin with.

edit: the texts, though, are inexcusable and Beale seriously needs to grow up. If I did that at work I'd be sacked.

Then that is a team management issue. And that is the team manager, the coach, and the senior playing group

More or less, it seemed somewhat unclear who in the staff was aware, but the reality is heads need to roll, and not just Beale's.

Does this shit really need to be aired on the Rugby Club though? He's been hung, drawn and quartered on here, and most of that based on hearsay, innuendo and poor journalism.
Whatever is left of him after above disembowelment is well and truly fucked now. (and I'm not sticking up for him at all)

Pretty damning article of Link. I'll call it, Beale and Link gone.

Don't forget Patston. Bullshit like this:

When players asked McKenzie to define her role and duties, he prevaricated and became defensive.
.........
Fairfax Media understands that during the week leading up to the Wallabies Test against South Africa in Perth, McKenzie missed a compulsory team dinner to accompany Patston to the airport so she could fly home for a family emergency. She did not end up leaving Perth.
.........

Throw in Link taking her to the airport in South America, and missing a training session to do it, and you've got an issue right there. The coach is compromising his commitment to the team for a personal matter. When that happens, you're finishing.

Have to be the first to say it:

I think it's entirely appropriate for the RC to address the story. It's the biggest story right now in OZ rugby, especially with no test this weekend.

What is written on this forum is really of little consequence (no matter how outrageous or implausible it might be) in my view.

What has been written on here, be it outrageous or implausible, has been very entertaining, but the media has turned the whole affair into an episode of Fox News in America.
Sad thing is that no matter what happens to him, we're unlikely to ever know the exact details. Silver lining to that is that we're sure to collectively add another 20+ pages to this thread.
