    Wallabies 2023

Looks worse to me - deliberate and more force. And it’s the same law. Shows there is precedent regarding amount of force and mitigation But the judiciary lottery will determine the outcome regardless

    Wallabies 2023

Interesting world rugby precedent from SAF v Sco game a few years back. Low force, mitigating circumstances, no suspension. Will be interesting to see if there’s consistency “A release from rugby union’s global governing body outlined that Kolisi’s actions contravened law 9.12 – striking with...

    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

I do think they need to sort the cards. It’s a balance between deterring dangerous play and protecting the players vs ruining a game for a fairly benign event. None of the cards yesterday carried any real risk of significant injury. Mostly just niggle and a tackle that carried no risk of injury...

Nah you’re prob right - Maybe I’m thinking of the NZ games. Memory is a little hazy Edit: You are right. I said the same thing last year and KOB pulled me up on it. Def was the ABs.

    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

He played the tri nations 2020 didn’t he? Seem to remember he was thrown in the deep end and had a shocker. Then had another crack in 21 before they sent the Hail Mary to quade.

    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

They beat England pretty convincingly 32-15 and only lost by 6 to France They’re a good side I agree we’re in an upward trajectory as well. But I don’t think we matched their intensity today.

    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

Cos Italy don’t count :) so they only beat one top tier team. Seriously though I’m not having a go at Noah - he had a good game but he has struggled against SAF and higher ranked opposition. I just think he’s a work in progress and would stick with the incumbent rather than change based on a...

Eng only beat wales and Italy. So not really mid - more lower end. And I’m not just referring to the wallabies games against the French.

Let’s not get too carried away. England only won 2 games in the 6 nations Quade was a class above Noah last year against better opposition.

I guess you make your own luck but geez the ABs have had the rub of the green tonight.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

1st time I’ve ever seen it played like that in many years of rugby. How many times do you hear the comment “lucky that was a try as player x might have been in trouble there.” Maybe it’s just the refs deciding it had no material effect if the try was scored anyway.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Maybe a question for the refereeing thread but Samoa scored a try under penalty advantage. Pieper then sinbinned one of our locks for repeated wob infringements but no penalty was awarded due to the try. I thought it was one or the other?

Australia A - Back on the Cards

It came right out of the scrum and Antsee dragged it back in with his foot - I thought it was a fair try

    Samoa vs Australia A

No one putting their hand up to suggest they should’ve been in the squad.

Blues vs Brumbies SF, June 11 2022

It’s not mutually exclusive It was the wrong call and changed the outcome of the game. Not to say the others weren’t as well but that’s a different issue all together.

    Reds vs Highlanders

Yeah they can 4 wallabies injured in 4 of the most important positions on the park. They did their best but the replacements weren’t up to it. Depth is the perennial issue. Full strength, different result

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) Rd 3 Force v Reds in Perth

Had all but given up on super rugby. Ditched my long term reds membership a few years ago. In a moment of weakness signed up again to Stan at half time. Bullshit yellow card for an excellent tackle. Same shit different year. Just unsubscribed and turned it off. Dead to me.

Wales v Australia, Sunday 21st 4.30 am ADST.

Just googled the logo in the top left corner May have just been advertising rather than the author I guess. Edit: it is them - bunch of videos on their you tube channel. But it’s mostly targeted at NH refs https://tasanalytics.com/

Unsurprisingly it’s a South African site - they’ve done a Rassie. Adds a bit of cred when it’s not just Aussie sour grapes.
