Australia v England: Match II @ Suncorp 7.55pm AEST, 09/07

Leota was the only tackler. The others were all driving on Itoje. And leotas contact occurs after Lawes and genge have bound. It’s close but it’s after.

Australia v England: Match II @ Suncorp 7.55pm AEST, 09/07

No it’s not. Itoje passed the ball to vunipola so it’s lineout over. The two players were pre-bound to vunipola prior to any defenders so it’s not a maul - it’s still a tackle. A third then joined and they drove him across the line. World rugby banned this in the last 12 months. Only one player...

Australia v England: Match II @ Suncorp 7.55pm AEST, 09/07

That one really stood out as a wtf just happened moment though - enough to at least have another look given it lead to a try. I immediately rewound to work out what happened and was surprised the players and commentators didn’t mention it It needs to be brought up behind the scenes in the match...

Australia v England: Match II @ Suncorp 7.55pm AEST, 09/07

I think the key is that the players pre bound before any defender was involved and drove over. If there was contact with a defender first then it’s a maul and no issue. But there wasn’t so it should have been a penalty.

Australia v England: Match II @ Suncorp 7.55pm AEST, 09/07

What is the law regarding the lineout try Eng scored? Itoje caught the throw at 4 and passed it straight away (whilst still in the air) to the player at 2 who was then driven over the try line unopposed as the Australian defence had formed on itoje. Once Itoje passed it doesn’t that mean...

Sexton played for Ireland after going off in game 1 with a head knock. They said he passed the early concussion protocols. So maybe petaia will be ok…

Australia v England: Match II @ Suncorp 7.55pm AEST, 09/07

That was one of those frustrating games where you just can’t seem to get any momentum, a few calls go against you, and before you know it the opposition has an insurmountable lead without really doing anything spectacular.

Australia v England: Match II @ Suncorp 7.55pm AEST, 09/07

2 tries to one. The rest was just a penalty lottery. England better at playing for territory, keeping possession in our half and waiting for the whistle

Australia v England: Match II @ Suncorp 7.55pm AEST, 09/07

Hate a game thats decided by the whistle. Refs like this favour the team that plays for territory and waits for the penalty.

That yellow is why I’ve stopped wasting my money on going to games. Rugby is become a pedantic mess.

    Ireland NZ Tour 2022

Holding the ABs to 12 points at home is a pretty impressive defensive effort. It’s not uncommon to score 23 points but that game was won off the back of a superb defensive effort. This is a very good Irish side.

    Fiji v Australia A 1:30pm Saturday 9 July

Entertaining game and a solid performance from Aus A. Still haven’t seen anyone putting their hand up for promotion to the wallabies squad. Enjoying the absence of the TMO.

Australia v England: Match II @ Suncorp 7.55pm AEST, 09/07

Fingers crossed there are no bullshit cards that require frame by frame TMO analysis to spot the infringement. Would be nice once in a while to see 15 vs 15 for the duration.

The Kolisi headbutt against Scotland in 2018 wasn’t carded at all. Subsequently went to the judiciary and received a caution only with no suspension. Reasons - moderate force only and mitigating circumstances/provocation (he was being illegally held in a ruck) Video is still on you tube -...

    Wallabies 2023

His boot was just about the only thing that stood out all game. Some of his long kicks were very impressive. Pair that with the brumbies rolling maul and there’s a lot of potential points from a penalty almost anywhere. Not pretty, but effective.

That’s the same frame where the side view shows no contact. Anyway I’ve said enough. I don’t actually care either way. Tomorrow will tell.

    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

I’m not sure there is. All the views where it looked like there was contact were from behind and you can’t actually see the point of contact. The side on view actually shows there was space the whole time and the contact was shoulder. Unless the TMO has extra angles. Anyway it was dumb and if he...

    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

I’ve just frame by framed the headbutt incident and I can’t actually see any contact with the head. There’s no movement of hills head at all and there’s still space between heads in the closest still (attached). The contact is all shoulders. Still a bad look but surely there’s gotta be contact...
