    Reds 2019

Largely an irrelevant comment given he’s playing at 8. Now hooper is a different story....

Wobblies v pumas - is Salta at altitude edition

We were very lucky he went off - without his unfortunate injury I fear our comeback may have fallen short and this forum would be a much darker place right now.. He is a very important player for the argies and they missed him a lot.

Wobblies v pumas - is Salta at altitude edition

I do find it interesting that we have the best seagull in Australia who is also a genuine lineout option playing in Japan atm while we try to make our diminutive 7 into a seagull and lineout option. Go figure.

Wobblies v pumas - is Salta at altitude edition

F@#k me I wish I had a dollar for every time a conversation about our back line deficiencies was followed up with a condescending post about our forwards being the real issue. It’s as boring as it is predictable. Encouraged by guaranteed likes from the usual suspects. Our midfield sucks just as...

    The Wallabies Thread

It also reflects badly on Cheika. Pick a team who can implement your game plan. Or use another game plan. Don’t stick with what is not working then blame the players.

    Reds 2019

That’s no one in Australian rugby right now, let alone the reds.

RC5: Springbokke vs Wallabies @ PE

Sure but not 1 on 1 with space. It works when the channels are jammed with bodies. When there’s room it just creates a defensive mismatch.

RC5: Springbokke vs Wallabies @ PE

That was not a game where we were outclassed in the 1 on 1 matchups. It was a game where we were outplayed as a team. Just dumb rugby. Both tries against us were scored from complete amateur errors. In what defensive structure do you line up your hooker against the flyhalf?? Can’t work out if...

RC5: Springbokke vs Wallabies @ PE

To be fair he’s only had two bites at the cherry. Foleys reached his ceiling. I don’t hold high hopes based on the last two outings but I don’t have a problem with him having another crack.

RC5: Springbokke vs Wallabies @ PE

You might be right. But his game has so many flaws we need to be open to other options. And this series is the perfect opportunity to explore them. If all other options come up short then we know what foley brings.

    The Wallabies Thread

Nope - but he was responsible for axing Fardy who then went overseas. A decision that’s not covering him with glory right now. The rest - not so much. But I guess if you can’t refute the elephant in the room then a broad swipe is the next best thing..

RC5: Springbokke vs Wallabies @ PE

Not really. Foleys weaknesses at 10 have been there for all to see this series. Beale is a much better 12 than he was a few years ago. It was not unreasonable to see if the same applied to his play at 10. Clearly that question has been answered. Now it’s time to try To'omua. Or another plan B...

His mullet Is criminal. Does that count?

    RC4 - Australia v Argentina

I reckon the two k’s would be a formidable long term midfield combination. Kerevis distribution is improving. But that would require a playmaker at 10. Now I wonder who could fill that role.... :)

    RC4 - Australia v Argentina

That’s a tough question to answer. Depends if it’s as shite as the Beale at 10 experiment, or just a little bit shite with potential.

    RC4 - Australia v Argentina

Then at least the question is answered. The series is long gone anyway.

    RC4 - Australia v Argentina

10 foley 12 To'omua won’t solve anything. The problem hasn’t been Beale at 12. It’s been foley at 10. And Beale at 10 wasn’t the solution. Trying To'omua at 10 has merit. TRC is a write off so time to experiment. If it doesn’t work we know what foley 10 Beale 12 brings.

50% of them were shite though.... The roots of sarcasm often conceal a hint of truth :)

Australia vs South Africa 8th September

Irrelevant Dan. He didn’t penalise us for the lead up. He penalised us for standing up. And he clearly got it wrong.
