New RWC 2015 ad Looks like our chances of winning have improved as the All Blacks don't seem to be attending

    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

Wasn't AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) one of the 'Dublin Six'?

    Reds 2015

Is Folau actually particularly fast? He seemed to get chased down fairly easily by the ABs when he got that intercept and I've seen a few other games were he hasn't looked that quick. Perhaps he's one of those blokes with good acceleration over the first few metres but not that high top end...

    New ARU Contracting post 2016

Guess they're trying to avoid a mass exodus of players after RWC 2015

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

If teams aren't willing to spend a few thousand on an away kit, I can't see them forking out $20k to get all their home games live streamed by Club Rugby TV

Canberra Vikings - Offical NRC Team Thread

And it's not like the Canberra team being called the Vikings is a new development. They were the Vikings in the ARC, and in the Queensland comp when they played up there. Think they may have even changed from Kookaburras to Vikings before they were kicked out of the Shute Shield

Canberra Vikings - Offical NRC Team Thread

I'm guessing the Force and Rebels would have loved it if there was a local club that could afford to bankroll their participation - but as there wasn't, they had to do the heavy lifting

Brisbane City vs. Sydney Stars - NRC Round 1, 21/08 @ Ballymore

Is it just me or does the star in the Stars logo look like a masonic symbol? Better watch out for the Stars captain giving the ref a secret handshake before the game...

    National Rugby Championship 2014

The curtain raiser game before the Argentina test is on at the same time as the ABs v Boks game, so Fox would be showing that you'd think. Agree that'd it be good if they showed the curtain raiser before the 3rd Bledisloe game though. And it makes you wonder why Perth shifted their home game...

    National Rugby Championship 2014

Looking at the broadcast games, it seems that the Rays and the Vikings are the winners on that front so far, appearing 3 times each by my count, with Brisbane, the Rams & the Rising appearing twice and the rest once. Though they haven't announced the TV game for the last round yet - but can't...

Canberra Vikings - Offical NRC Team Thread

The home game against the Rays that was scheduled for Saturday 4 October is now a TV game so is being moved to October 2. It appears they've now announced all the broadcast games bar the last round.

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

Right, so it was the grass' fault rather than the opposition?

    Brumbies 2015

Ideally I'd have Fardy at 6, and Fotu and Butler sharing 8 (and throw in Vaea there somewhere if he ends up playing again). But depth at lock seems painfully shallow, so unless Staniforth can get up to speed quickly I'm guessing Fardy will be mostly used in the second row.

    Brumbies 2015

Just thinking, the Brumbies may also have room for a marquee player, as I think Murphy was technically using up that spot (in the very loosest sense of the word 'marquee'). And also room for another foreign development player, now that Speight will be Australian qualified. So who should we...

    Brumbies 2015

New arrivals so far are Nigel Ah Wong and Sean Doyle and I believe Tom Staniforth, Michael Dowsett and Allan Ala'alatoa have been upgraded to the full-time squad. I think the plan is to see who shines in the NRC before filling the rest of the squad. A guess at the line up for round one next...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

"Speight injured his hamstring in the second half, but the grade-one tear is expected to keep him out of action for only 10 days. He is expected to be fit to join the Wallabies camp and make his Test debut on September 11."...
