Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

No more lunacy than some of the unbridled support. The reality lies somewhere in between. The lunacy lies at both extremes.

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

Sure - I understand where you're coming from. But we need a backup and he's probably the no 2 until another option presents. And I would like to see where he's at with quality players around him rather than the Reds rabble of this year.

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

Perfect summation. I can't fathom why we don't at least have an alternative in the squad. QC (Quade Cooper) has had a pretty good NRC - I'd like to see him get 15 off the bench against the Argies. Seems like we are creating depth in all positions except arguably the most important position on the field...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

A parallel comp to Super Rugby with the force playing the Australian teams in their bye weeks would have been a much more entertaining option for me. Especially if the force players remained wallabies eligible and they retained a lot of their current roster Much more likely to watch a reds - force game...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2017

Yep. The first half against TSS is the only time I saw them dominated in general play. Their kicking lost them both those games and the premiership. Fortunately as a Wallabies supporter it's something I'm used to dealing with :)

    QLD GPS Rugby 2017

BBC 27 GT 13 BBC will rue their kicking in a couple of games this year. The one that got away.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Another option would be for the 5th team to play each of the other Australian teams in their bye week a bit like the setup with downlands in the QLD schools gps rugby. And it could be used to help determine the promotion/relegation decisions. Not ideal but at least it would generate some revenue...

Wallabies v Springboks Saturday 9th Sept NIB Stadium

Pretty much the lineup I've been banging on about since before game 1. Except with naivalu in for DHP when he's recovered and hodge at FB rather than the bench. Who's your 15?

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Now I've heard it all. I've been proven wrong so I'll claim I was referring to historical missed tackles rather than the missed tackles which are actually being discussed in this game thread. And your comments about the Hooper miss for Smiths try are a bit far fetched - watch it again. Hooper...

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

From my perspective the issue is there is no attempt to look at alternatives. There is clearly some deficiencies in his game that are not improving. Beale is a much better 12 than he was a few years ago. Could he show the same improvement at 10? How would QC (Quade Cooper) or JL play now they are over their...

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

That's because they're kiwis and see the incident with a national slant Which is exactly the provincialism point I was making. Some are able to look through that, others aren't.

And right on cue again. This forum is nothing if not predictable.

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Mate I just call it as it is. Backing foleys kicking last game because they didn't miss by much, and excusing hoopers missed tackles because he was acting as a shooter is laughable. It's either provincialism or it's lack of insight. I'm just giving the benefit of the doubt. With pocock out...

Cheika is that you? Right on cue. Must..support..hooper..and foley. He missed too many tackles. At least one miss resulted in a try. Blue glasses off.

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

I don't think you'd be quite so forgiving if it was one QC (Quade Cooper) who had kicked 2 from 6. And a miss is a miss - doesn't matter squat how close it was.

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Are you referring to the ABs 8 and 20 who had detached from the ball carrier and were thus in an illegal position driving hanigan away and preventing him from making a tackle?

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

There's an off day and then there's 2 from 6. No international level paid professional should be that awful. One or two maybe. Not 2 from 6.

Give us a year to coach it out of him again

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Not at all bothered by the lack of cards. They're dished out too easily these days and neither incident was really dangerous, even though technically he probably should have gone. What I am bothered by is the absolute shit kicking by foley which once again cost us the game and series as it did...

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

24 points has been the average margin across the last 6 ABs vs Wobblies games. So last weekend was above average. Not sure what everyone's complaining about. Clearly we're building in the right direction. :)
