Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Where were all the tries scored on the weekend? Doesnt matter how good your forwards are if your backs can't tackle and your midfield leaks like a seive. I've said before there is little to discuss regarding the forwards - very little point of difference and most of the selections are pretty...

D We dropped to 5th after the weekend. The downward trajectory continues.

Yeah it was all Beales fault Nothing to do with McCabe and Horne in the centres.

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

I'd put hodge at 15 for the same reasons but an even longer boot. And I'd like to see meakes at 12. DHP still has some defensive issues. Otherwise I'd be pretty happy with that.

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

I'm not saying he's a great defender - just that he wasn't the worst by a long way on Sat. Neither is Beale for that matter. But he and Beale are both great attacking threats and there's room for both in the side. Calls for either to be left out are batshit stuff. I'd move Folau to the wing and...

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Folau's copping a lot of flack for someone who actually didn't miss a single tackle Sat night. Topped the stats for runs and line breaks. Yes he made a defensive misread when he didn't trust his inside man - Sio who was lined up on Barrett. He was in two minds and paid the price. Stuff up - yes...

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

As of 2016 they had 65,000 registered males under 13 vs our 27,000 More of their kids still play rugby compared to here. The same goes for adult males. Explains why we are struggling.

KAOP I think everyone gets you don't rate foley. I don't either. I guess a realistic discussion of the alternatives is most useful here. A year ago I would have said Cooper but I agree with others that he is a card risk and just as big a defensive liability, despite what he offers in attack...

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

Exactly. Which is why I've come back to Beale as the only other realistic option. Whilst silently wondering what hunt would be like at 10..

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

I'd like to see 9. Genia 10 Beale 11 Naivalu 12 Hunt (Meakes till he's fit) 13 Kuridrani 14 Folau 15 Hodge Hodge to kick the shit out of it every time we're in our 40m. Everyone to defend in their own position. Beale has improved a lot since his last run at 10. Foley hasn't. Much more starch...

When's naivalu due back? Must be soon.

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

The ABs are clearly in the heads of supporters as much as their opposition. Sublime in attack Only let in tries when they take their foot off the pedal. They're just untouchable. Don't know why we bother really.

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

I don't buy it. Credit where credit is due. The pendulum swung, and it was not all the ABs doing. We looked threatening it attack even in the first half when they were tearing our defence apart. We just didn't have the ball. It wasn't just a consolation try in the end ffs.
  14. tragic

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

I really don't think it's as bad as it could have been. I thought we'd get owned in most facets of play. In fact we held our own in a number of areas. Especially the set piece. But our defensive alignment was just woeful. As an example Folau drifted in because we had no 1 marking up on no 10...

Yeah I'd say it was closer to 20 pts. :)

Seriously?? There were so many massive problems with the Wallabies in that game and you single out Moore?

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

Interesting that all the discussion post game has been focussed on the backs. Yet a few regulars here deride posts about back selections - after all the game will be won or lost in the forwards. Perhaps not when your midfield leaks like a seive. The tight 5 did their job. Set piece was good...

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

My apologies for trying to find a few positives amongst a pretty awful night. Feel free to carry on bitching and moaning about skills, the ARU, Cheika or whatever takes your fancy.

Wallabies v All Blacks, Saturday 19th August, ANZ Stadium Sydney

Scrum and lineout were solid. 34 points against the ABs is enough to win. Not all is lost

Those dastardly All Blacks running loops, switches, cutouts and decoys. How are we supposed to defend against that.
