Super Rugby Rnd 3: Jaguares v Reds - Buenos Aires Sunday Feb 16 10:00am AEDT

Oh, it's beyond a joke, particularly the South African Refs, the Kiwi's are more incompetent than malicious, but the Saffers are awful and obviously biased. At minimum the man in the middle ought to be neutral when it's between two different nations, a local derby I don't mind where they are form.

Super Rugby Rnd 3: Jaguares v Reds - Buenos Aires Sunday Feb 16 10:00am AEDT

Our front row probably the best in Australia. Our second row is probably still the best in Australia (although I do prefer LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto)), I think LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) has been brought in to give them a bit more ball running, and ASY (Angus Scott-Young) has been a little average the last few games (but not bad). I think Uru has been hard...

Super Rugby Rnd 3: Jaguares v Reds - Buenos Aires Sunday Feb 16 10:00am AEDT

I think it's 7:30 am kick off, unless it's been changed since this (https://super.rugby/superrugby/fixtures/2020-super-rugby-fixtures/).

    Wallabies 2020

@TEX Did you not see the Rebels' scrums against the Brumbies? From watching that, Ruan wasn't getting the support from the second row/flankers, to my eyes he didn't have the support from behind to allow him to reposition his legs and move the scrum forwards. I think it was twice that he was...

    Wallabies 2020

So you missed that scum with the 20 year old LHP coming on, forcing Smith to switch sides... then dominate with the two wingers packing down for him? I'd say that's the beginnings of a phenomenal season. Regardless I think Smith and Slipper are about on par with each other with the difference...

    Reds 2020

I think for this season, unless we have a number of injuries LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) will need to be playing in the Row, if anything it'll be McReight/Wilson moving over to 6 to make way for the other (McReight the more likely to play 6 IMO), it'll depend on who's got better control of the ball at the back of the...

    Reds 2020

@SOLE I agree that Hegarty isn't in a starting XV on a Championship Super Rugby side, but he's been one of our best players -- at least very close with O'Connor for our best back. He's not fantastic but he also doesn't do much wrong, he's like the anti-Quade, low risk - low reward. I'm no sold...

    Reds 2020

The reason we don't have Reds/'Tahs A teams is because we don't have a competition for them to play in -- who would they play, you can't just play each other for 18 weeks.

    Wallabies 2020

I think the Slipper vs Smith question will be settled by the style Rennie chooses to play. Slipper is stronger around the park, but Smith is so dominant in the scrum. If we want to be anything beyond 'sufficient' in the scrum then Smith is probably has the edge. So if Rennie choose to be a...

    Wallabies 2020

In my opinion he's without a doubt the reason Tupou's scrumaging has improved so much when Tupou started he was just a REALLY BIG body but since he's developed into an 80 min player and a fierce scrumager! JP's just a career scrum pig! He's a monster, plus at 30 he's just coming into his prime...

    Wallabies 2020

Yeah, Ruan won't be in the conversation the Rebels won't use him properly and they don't value the scrum enough for him to show his ability; it's a real shame because he ought to be in that conversion but probably won't be but that's the price he pays for moving to the Rebels.

    Reds 2020

What are people's thoughts on our backline thus far? It feels like it's not quite clicking just yet. A few things I've noticed / felt. Lucas looks promising but obviously needs time to develop, maybe at 15 or perhaps wing. Stewart should he play 10 as he played first receiver for much of the...

    Wallabies 2020

Anyone know with JP Smith is able to play for the Wallabies? After his showing in South Africa he's gotta be in the conversation for any of the 4 Wallabies prop spots.

    Super Rugby Rnd 2 2020 Lions v Reds @ Jo'burg - Sunday 12:05am AEDT

As much as the Reds got screwed over by Jaco, they let themselves down with their lineout defense. Our first best option to defense the lineout & maul is to throw up Rodda / LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and try to either steal the lineout and/or disrupt the ball and disrupt the resulting maul; the Reds really aren't yet...

    Super Rugby Rnd 2 2020 Lions v Reds @ Jo'burg - Sunday 12:05am AEDT

Best lineout defense for the Reds is probably just competing in the air, they have a good chance of the steal, and at worst will likely disrupt the ball.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Yeah, there is no way I can see USA joining the Rugby Championship. MAYBE they could contribute a team to Super Rugby; I've heard some pretty credible ideas about an American conference (USA, Canada and 2x Argentina being probably the best).

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Yeah, I know this is probably a little controversial but I think the Kiwi's are starting to come back down to earth, I know they don't have their AB Stars, but the Hurricanes and Highlanders both looked quite poor and the Blues traditionally have been awful but you never know. Either way my...

    Super Rugby Rnd 2 2020 Lions v Reds @ Jo'burg - Sunday 12:05am AEDT

I agree, this is the game to make the change. Elton Jantjies has been known to be flustered and struggles against a physical defensive flyhalf, and while I don't question Lucas' heart, the extra size of Stewart monstered him last year, and he's not shown that he can overcome that, so O'Connor is...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Yeah, on this I think it's unavoidable that we have an intermediate competition -- there are about 10 teams each in the Shute Shield and Q-Premier comps not sure about ACT, Vic, SA, WA etc. but that's probably a minimum of 30 teams, if you have a 'Champions Cup' type comp you'd be excluding more...
