Wallabies v Pumas - Saturday 17 September, nib Stadium Perth

So hooper gets penalised for coming around whilst bound and kicking the ball but the argies don't. Wtf!

Two smoking passes from cooper for two tries. The last 3 games have put to bed the question of Australia's best 10.

Try time. Amazing what you can do with clean lineout ball.

Thanks RR. Out of interest how many are in the media box? And is it loaded with local media or evenly distributed with media from across the country? Not that I really care but there are some decisions from time to time that have left me wondering.

I was actually referring to the GAGR MOTM where hooper is a frequent flyer. Out of interest who decides on the official MOTM? Does it depend on where the game is played? I was a bit surprised at hooper against the boks - not that he played badly but not the best on field in my opinion.

That could be interpreted in two ways. The giver of the awards or the callers for his head. I'll let you guess which one I liked? :)

Yeah hindsight is a wonderful thing. But I do remember thinking it was an odd decision at the time especially with so long left in the game and our history of lock injuries. We would have been in far more trouble if Coleman or Mumm went down injured soon after the substitution. I would have...

Can I recind my concession? He was replaced at the time of a lineout There were no scrums for the rest of the half, in fact for 5 mins after the card. There were two scrums in the second half before coleman came back on One was a full arm penalty to the ABs anyway. The second was a half arm to...

Yes but the point I was making is our scrum was weaker then and less able to cope with one less person, so it was not all Fardys fault.

I do remember getting pole axed back in 2014 although our scrum had many other issues then and the ABs scrum was also stronger. Regardless I have no argument if the sub was made at scrum time. My recollection was that it wasn't which is why I thought it was a little odd. I'm happy to concede...

Sure but how many scrums are there in 10 mins? And you could just replace him in the event there was one. Surely that was not the only reason. If so it seems a bit amateur. Then again it's not the most unusual call Cheikas made this season.

Fair enough. It was only meant to be a light hearted dig but I note it has also come from other sources and therefore probably seemed more than that. My apologies.

Wow - Simmons for Douglas. Didn't see that one coming. I thought after last week Simmons was historical interest only. He came out firing after his last stint on the pines. Hope he and speight play like their careers depend on it. Which they probably do..

Agree. And the attack looks much more potent when they work that way. Which begs the question why not just bite the bullet and put the numbers on their backs.

Foley is doing a reasonable job out of position at 12 whilst we are short of options. He will probably have a good game against the argies and lower ranked teams who are not as good at the rush defence. But we are playing too many players out of position and he is not a long term no 12. As with...
