Jonothan Traves, a winger, was also in the train on squad. Four year 10 boys in total.

    Best current schoolboys coaches?

I beg to differ, some boys who've been at a school since Year 8 should definitely count as imports. But players developed by the schools like BGS's Lakehm Aiono, Matt Marsden, Sam Greene, Al Harper, Michael Gilbert et al. don't really fit the label of "import". Regardless, every school does...

    Best current schoolboys coaches?

Emtage would have to be given a lot of credit for the development of Sam Greene. In 2010, Sam was a 65kg kid who stepped up to fill the #10 jersey of the injured Aus Schools A fly-half Grant Davies on the back of some exceptional performances in the 16A's. Now he's regarded as one of the best...

For starters, one poster jokingly referred to BGS as the best schoolboy team in history. As for this year, who's to say they aren't the best schoolboy team in the nation this year? They just won GPS QLD so they wouldn't be too far off. Secondly, any criticism of Light is not at all because he...

I don't want to ignite another "Greene vs. Player X" debate but I think anyone who watched Greene play throughout the season would beg to differ. His boot is obviously his best asset in both goal kicking and all aspects of general play, but he's an exceptionally well rounded talent. His pass...

A bit of a beacon for criticism now considering he was probably the most prominent pro-Churchie poster on this forum- with his constant appraisal of Eason over Greene not helping either.

BGS 6. Michael Gilbert Jayden Rodwell and Dylan Sikimeti packed down in those positions, but were wearing the opposite jerseys (6 and 8 respectively). Also, shouldn't Jack Tuttle and Maclean Jones be swapped around?

You might not like how he said it, but it's definitely a valid point. Light spent the majority of the pre-season talking about Churchie's definite centenary year premiership, and wrote Grammar off completely. Not only that, but he immediately shot down anyone who predicted even a podium finish...

Sam took the spot of a Churchie senior in the Cricket 1st XI when he was in eighth grade and was continuously bullied from thereon in. The final straw was probably when the older boys threw him off the bridge into the river in a sack. He came to BGS as a full fee-paying student, he's no import.

Which TSS boys in particular? Next year's competition is shaping up nicely with plenty of strong returning talent. Alex Mafi NC James Tuttle NC Tyrone Hussey NC Maclean Jones NC Riley Brennan NC Jayden Rodwell NC Paulo Leleisiuao NC Junior Fakaosilea BBC Bronson Tauakipulu BBC Jamason...

I think all these player match-ups ultimately prove nothing. It's easy to say one player is better than another, but it's all about what the teams offer as a unit- look at Churchie. This is straight from the Nudgee website. I think it sums up the nature of the upcoming game perfectly- Two...

Do we even have confirmation that Radford is out? I've heard nothing all week and I imagine he'll be doing everything possible to make himself available for the decider.

And does anyone have a line-up for Nudgee this coming weekend?

Is complacent the right word? I'd say Jack Tuttle's absence was a major factor in their defeat to Southport. He's so important to the team I'd suggest that if BGS manage to shut him down (and that's a massive if- he's probably one of the two best players in the comp) they'll come away...

He's obviously a very talented athlete- anyone who read the Courier Mail or even saw the front page in 2009 would know about his wide array of talents and the grand heights he'd reached in junior sport before the age of 14- League, Union, Aussie Rules, Athletics etc.- but reports that he lost...

Hagan didn't even make the Met North 100m final this year for U16s, he's got a long way to go if he wants to make it in athletics even at a junior level. Wasted talent.

It's probably a good idea to just ignore the last 3-4 pages of posts, it's just a whole heap of BGS vs. GT argument for arguments sake. Rather than dwelling on the ultimately inconsequential rivalry between the Spring Hill schools we should all be focusing on the upcoming Grand Final and the...

It's obvious you're the one who's biased here. Radford has had an unlucky season plagued by injuries, yet has done nothing to suggest he is in anyway a liability for BGS. He's been outstanding in attack as per usual and he definitely doesn't shy away from physical contact. After a brilliant 2011...
