Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

I don't agree with all the players named but I agree with the sentiment.

    Wallabies 2021

I don't want to be too critical because I understand he is the best coach we could have got but that's a less than impressive first year. Did anyone see much of a positive change in the way we played? We certainly seemed to kick a lot more ball away but it didn't really pay dividends aside from...

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

They got opportunities, just like last game. Banks threw a poor ball to Koroibete, who also overan it. Would have been a try. Paisami’s kick through was about as pretty good and could have been a try if executed slightly better, by either Paisami or Petaia. Also recall Hodge and Paisami...

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

My take is that was a very frustrating result in which we just weren’t able to finish things off and as the game went on it sapped us and invigorated them. Has to be said that Argentina are a very good defensive team and they deserve a lot of credit for the last two weeks. Actually thought we...

Bledisloe #4 New Zealand vs Australia Nov 7 2020

Hopefully we don’t kick away or drop all our possession. Honestly our pack was probably better the first 3 games with LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), especially for go forward. Our backline didn’t exactly carve theirs up did it? We’ve actually got some hard hitting athletic centres for once, we’re hardly going to out...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

I don't want to be too harsh on any one player but he was pretty invisible. Naisarani is very physical though and really should have be involved from the get go, lineout was average again so there isn't too much to lose there anyway.

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

I think the best I've seen him play was as a 10 in Manly colts. Which is obviously a world away and I wouldn't suggest putting him at 10 for the Wallabies but I do wonder why he was moved away from 10. His skill set suggests 10 to me and if he had been developed there then who knows. As it...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Wasn’t suggesting the coach is the problem. The mental side is the biggest issue for me, maybe I’m imagining but within the first 5 minutes it was obvious we had not turned up and they had. Sure I don’t think we have the caliber of players the AB’s do across the park but I don’t think we’re 40...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

It was an off night, second week in a row. Agree it’s ridiculous to put players to the side after that, especially young ones on debut. The AB’s players usually lift to another level when they put that jersey on, we on the other hand had a lot of players performing well below their potential...

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

I was referring to us not winning any of theirs, which has nothing to do with the hooker.

Are we really singling out individuals missing tackles in that one? Clarke broke at least 10 on his own. Pretty sure Barret beat the entire team in one run and had started doubling back around for seconds before he tripped over himself.

He was certainly not ok but neither was the entire team.

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

Not just the bombs though, just pointless kicks in general. Especially against the Ab's. The ball should go out or long and pressured. We fed their clearly superior back 3 the ball then decided chasing and tackling wasn't on the cards today.
  14. Highkicks

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

It always looks to me like the AB's are able to play to 100% of their potential and we rarely get into 2nd gear mentally. I mean there weren't many positives to take out of that, Hanigan had his best game but even he made some pretty bad errors. How do we not dominate in the lineouts? 3 good...

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

The more I think about it the more I like Neds selection. For once our pack is absolutely stacked with physical ball carriers. A high work rate, tall, lineout option 6 looks like a really good balance on paper. Before last weeks game Philip and Wilson were unknowns at this level but they were...

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

It's only 2 changes to the starting team, to address a fairly poor showing in the lineout. Doesn't strike me as unreasonable at all, regardless of the result. The selections are an obvious solution to one of the weakest aspects from last weeks game with minimal downside, pending BPA's throwing.

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

Could be that he intends the starting backrow to play most of the game and Wright is the most versatile injury cover?

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

As much as I don’t think Ned is amazing, he and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) are our two best tall 6’s. I don’t think Ned is a damaging player but he is quick for his size, consistent and great in the lineout. The balance in the backrow looks a bit better with him there I think. With Whitelock out and Ned in, we’d...

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

in I don’t think anyone is suggesting wholesale changes, you’ve combined multiple opinions there. It was a fantastic game with lots of great performances but it’s a competitive environment and just because the team did well it doesn’t mean individuals shouldn’t be accountable. The AB’s had a...

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

Well not the exact same, he didn't pack at 8 on the scrum, slightly different defensive role and no dealing with the ball at the back of the scrum. He also contributed more out wide than I recall he did for the Reds. Anyway I'm also not suggesting Paisami changes his role very much if he moves...
